Chapter 11: Close Friendships

"... Ah! I'm so BORREEDDDDD!!!" Asher dreaded on. It's now the school holidays and Asher is laying in her bed in the rusty attic. Jake had gone out with his friends and said that he wouldn't be back until the evening.

Asher slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep in a matter of minutes until she heard a knock on the door, which surprisingly made her jump. She got up and used her power of sensing to tell of who is at the door. And guess what? It was Hunter!

"Oh Hi Hunter! What are you doing here?" Said Asher as she opened the door of the the old house.

He stood there looking straight at her. He wore a black t-shirt with a light black jacket. He also wore dark denim jeans and dark runners. His brown hair was smoothed out and his fringe was brushed to the side. Honestly, Asher thought that he looked pretty hot!

On the other hand, Asher was wearing a white singlet top with skinny jeans and no shoes. She also has her white hair down and her black crystal necklace was wrapped around her neck. Asher thought that she could've dressed a bit nicer. After all, she didn't expect any visitors to stop by.

"Um, Hi Asher. Are you busy?" He started to say.
"Er.. No, I'm not but, Jake had gone out with his friends and I was just sleeping before" replied Asher
"I thought vampires don't need sleep" he joked with a small smirk on his face.
"Well, it feels so relaxing! Anyway, how did you know where I live?" Asked Asher
"Remember, I'm basically Death itself! I know everything!"
Oh yeah! I remember! So what's up?"
"Nothing much. Um.. Do you wanna, maybe do something together?" Asked Hunter looking down at the floor, embarrassed.
"Sure! Let's go!"

It was a lovely sunny day and Hunter and Asher decided to go to the park. They talked for hours upon hours, telling each other about their lives. It' s now about 6 o'clock pm and Hunter is walking with Asher back to the old house. When Asher unlocked the door, she turned to face Hunter and smiled.
"Hey, I had a lot of fun today! We should do this more often!"
"Yeah, we should. Well, I better get going before Jake come back, so see you sometime over the holidays then!". Hunter returned Asher's smile and walked away.

Asher walked into the attic and flopped onto the bed. "Ah.. What a day! That was the most fun I've ever had since forever!" She said out loud.

Suddenly, Asher heard the front door squeak open. It was Jake. "... Hey Asher, you here?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm here" replied Asher from the other room. "... Oh okay"
