Chapter 9: The Girl with the very White Hair

After school, Asher caught Jake talking with his friends outside of the gates. She tried to avoid talking to them because of what happened earlier during the day. But, as soon as she shut the school gates, Jake was already walking towards her.

"Hi, Asher!" He said in a calm voice.
"Oh.. Um.. Hi" Asher mumbled.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Oh it's nothing, just a little tired, that's all"

Using his power of sensing, Jake could tell that there was something wrong. But as the nice guy that he is, he decided to say nothing and change the subject.
"Oh, ok then. Me and my friends are going to the park after school, do you maybe wanna come with us?" He asked pointing towards his two best friends.

"Uh.. Sure! It's not like I have anything better to do!" Said Asher quickly looking at her necklace to see if there is any danger.

"Alright then! Let's go!".

The three boys and Asher stayed at the park all day. Talking and playing pranks on each other.

"Well, guys, I gotta get home now, my parents are probably getting worried" said Willow.

"Yeah, and my Dad wants me to get back by curfew. So yeah, bye!" Zac added in.

"Ok then, bye!" Replied Jake.
"Yeah, bye!" Asher waved back.

While being the only two people left at the park, Asher still looked at her black necklace to see if it turned red for danger.

Asher sighed and after what happened to her today, she decided to tell Jake that she was a vampire. 'Maybe I could even show him!' She thought.
"Um... Jake?"

"Yeah?"

"I have to tell you something"

"Ok, what is it?"

"I'm a vampire! There I said it!"

"What, you're got to be joking!"

"I could even show you! I have powers and everything!"

"Well, it is getting dark soon, ok"
"And Asher, I have something to tell you too"

"Ok"

"I'm also a vampire"

"Really, you don't even have vampire features? So how could you be one?"

"You don't need features to be a vampire"

"Yes you do! It runs through the family. My feature is my very white hair"

"Oh, well, I guess features don't run in my family"

"Also Jake..."

"Yeah"

"Do you have any place to stay?"
"And don't lie to me, I can tell"

"Well... Um... Uh... No, I don't"

"Well you can live with me in my attic"

"What! We are only 16 and 18 years old!"

"Yeah? So? don't be stupid" Asher patted him on the head as if he was a pet.

"Well, alright then"
"It's getting late, why don't we both turn into a vampire together?"

"Ok, on the count of 3!"
"1..."
"2..."
"3!"

Asher and Jake both turn themselves into their vampire form.

"Wow! You look beautiful!" Complimented Jake to Asher who was standing there with white long locks, and bright red eyes. She was still wearing her school dress and her skin was more pale than her human form.

"Why thank you.. No one has ever said anything like that to me before" She said as she tried not to blush.

"You look amazing too!" Asher replied. Looking at his black spiky hair and grey eyes. His human form was brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Hey you wanna do something?" Jake asked.

"Sure! Like what?"

"Um, I don't know? What do you wanna do?"

"Hey, how about every day after school, we come here and shift into our vampire forms and scare people with our invisibility powers? Like pretend to be ghosts or something?" Suggested Asher.

"Haha! Sure! That will be awesome!" Cheered Jake.

"Anyway, what time is it?"

"Um.. I think it's like 10 o'clock or something.

"Oh! I think we need to get going, we have school tomorrow"
"Come on, follow me"

Asher and Jake flew to Asher's attic and shifted back into their human form.

"Well, this is it" Said Asher as she opened the door.

"Wow! You stylized it pretty well!"

"Um, thank you! You obviously have an eye for style!" Laughed Asher.

"I mean... Well.. You know..." Stuttered Jake.

"You can't deny it!" Winked Asher.
