○DALAYZA○
I watch every step that Tom makes in the dark. It's weird, we meet eachother after hours in the restricted section in the library. Any of us could have stopped, at any given moment. Ratted the other out, but we didn't. I was drawn to him in ways I didn't understand. His eyes ran through my soul following me, chasing me. They were the only eyes that could stop me dead in my tracks while traveling at the speed of light.
"I warned you, Dalayza." Tom says in a sing-song voice.
"Come agian?"
"I told you, to watch what you say. What you do, or you might regret it." He says, standing up from his place by the shelf.
"Awwww, protecting your friend are you?"
"He's not my friend." He stiffens, his face stone cold. I get up from my side of the book shelf.
"I like noticing details that no one else sees." I start, tip-toeing around Tom in a circle.
"And you, Mr. Big, bad, and scary, aren't as heartless as you make out to be." I finish, stopping right infront of him. It's dark, but I can still see the glitter in his hickory eyes. His hot breath fans over my face. He takes a step towards me, and I take a step back. He walks to me agian, and I retreat yet agian. He finally gives up and leans down, his eyes being the same level as mine.
"How's your father doing, Dalayza. And more importantly, how's your mother coping?" His voice stings in my heart. What- how does he know that, does he even know what happened? Or is he just trying to squeeze something out of me?
"I don't know what you're talking about." I answer, furrowing my eyebrows to look more convincing.
"No? Let me rephrase it, how is your mother doing after she found out that your father left her for her own cousin?" He asks agian, leaning even closer to my face, if that's even possible.
"H-how do you know about that?" My mother made sure no one would find out. How does he of all people know?
"I'll tell you what, I won't tell anyone as long as you do as I say." He negotiates, leaning back agianst the shelf behind him.
"What like one of your followers?" I snort, and he looks me dead in the eyes.
"So you want me to tell everyone?" He taunts, putting a hand by the side of my head. My mouth falls open, closing it and opening it agian. He wouldn't dare. He stares at my honey brown eyes, he's trying to make me crack. He's trying to add pressure on me, so I crack. Fine, I'll play along. And when the time is ready, I'll strike.
"Fine, I'll help you."
