It's obvious Tom has been avoiding me. The others have too, he makes it painfully obvious. I'm sitting at potions, Tom by my side. I bet he regrets picking the seat by me, but he's Tom. I'm 100% sure that if he wanted to move, Slughorn would let him. We sit together in silence, both of us focusing on our own potions. Slughorn walks around class, scolding Sierra for putting in the wrong ingredients. I catch Tom looking at me, and quickly looks away when he sees that I notice him. I've read a bit of his diary, it's hard to understand. He seems to be writing in another language. I've been visiting the library everyday, trying to match the language. I'm sure he's noticed it's missing, I'm sure that was the first thing he checked. But if he noticed, he hasn't said anything. I finish my potion, laying my head on the table. Tom raises his hand after a while, calling out to Slughorn. I grab his arm, bringing it down. He looks into my eyes, many things flash by-fear, regret, anger.
"Tom..." my voice trails off, he continues staring at me. He swipes his hand away from mine, putting it on the table, leaning back. He's trying to appear relaxed, cocky. A small smile leaves my lips.
"I know what your doing."
"Pardon?"
"Don't act dumb." He stumbles back a bit, caught off guard by my word choice. "I don't believe you Tom, not for a second." I stare into his cold eyes. They look almost black.
"Do not use my name, Ariti." Oh, back to last names now huh? Fine.
"Your hiding your feelings, Riddle. And it's not going to work." His jaw clenches, he doesn't move a muscle.
"You can't run from them forever." I whisper into his ear, smirking. He grabs my hand roughly, smashing it into the table.
"You make me feel..." he confesses, his hand gripping onto mine. Any tighter and he'll cut of my circulation.
"You make me feel. And I want it to stop, now." He demands, leaning into my face.
"I can't control what you feel, Riddle." I say, smirking. His face falters a bit, loosening his grip on my hand. I tug myself away from him, calling Slughorn over before he could do anything else. He gives me my okay, and I strut out of the room. My chin high, my hips swaying from side to side.
●TOM●
I hate her, I fucking hate her. I brush the loose curl from my eyes, my hands sweaty. She must have jinxed me, hexed me. She might've even given me a love potion. I race through the hall, not caring of I bump into anyone.
"Ah, Tom!" Avery walks up to me, but I push past him. My breath goes heavy, I'm pretty sure the whole school can hear me. I run into the common room, into my dorm room and into my bathroom. I turn on the faucet, splashing cold water onto my face. How can a human, a person, a girl make me feel so many things all at the same time? I want to kill her, see her empty eyes staring back at me as her crimson blood seeps through her chest. I want to kiss her, not stopping until we almost choke from the lack of air. I want to fuck her senseless, up agianst the hallway so that everyone knows who she belongs to. So that everyone knows she's mine. I stare at my shaking figure in the mirror, punching it. The mirror shatters, small pieces falling into the sink. My knuckles start to bleed, but I don't care. The smell fills my room, it comforts me.
