"Shoyo.."
"Shoyo...!"
The young man blinked a couple of times, turning to look at his mom, who was previously waving her hand in front of his face.
"Shoyo. Can you please pay attention?" She sighed, and the ginger nodded.
"I'm sorry mom. I've just got a lot on my mind.." The teen blabbered, trying to make up an excuse for his inattentive mindset.
"It's an okay sweetie. I know moving can be hard. Just, please promise me you'll focus in class tomorrow." They were currently at the local supplies store, grabbing notebooks and pencils for Hinata's first day of school tomorrow.
"I promise, mom. I'm sorry."
"Sweetie. I told you, it's okay. Stop apologizing."
"Okay, sorry."
"Shoyo."
"Oops."
His mother chuckled at his antics and checked their shopping cart.
"Hey, Sho. Do you want anything else? We have everything, I think. Unless you see anything you like." She turned, looking up at the tall boy, smiling at him.
"I think that's it, mom. Thanks." He smiled back, and they both walked towards the checkout carrousels.
There was a young woman, around Shoyo's age, working behind the conveyor belt.
"Did you find everything..." The girl asked the older woman in front of her, her dull voice trailing off as she looked up and saw Shoyo standing next to his mother.
Her once bored eyes widened, and she looked like she'd seen a ghost.
"What..is there something on my face?" Shoyo looked upset, thinking he had an insect on his nose or whatnot.
The girl backed up a little. "No, no..there is nothing on your face sir." She bit her lip subconsciously and looked the tall boy up and down.
After a moment, she realized how weird it must be for the orange-haired male, and she shook dirty thoughts out of her head, continuing to check and bag their items.
"Okay. Your total is ¥6523.92." The young woman handed the two their receipt, refusing to look up at the extremely handsome man in front of her.
"Okay, thank you." Hinata's mother handed the girl her credit card, and she rang her up.
"Have a nice day.." The girl looked down, her lust-filled eyes focused on the conveyor belt.
"Bye, you too!" The older woman responded cheerfully, and in the split second the girl looked up, Hinata flashed a bright smile.
The cashier blushed a bright cherry hue, and sighed, watching as the male and his mother walked out of the store.
"Maybe, just maybe, he'll read the note."

Hinata ruffled through the grocery bag as he slid into the passenger's seat of his mom's SUV.
"What..is this.." He mumbled, pulling out a piece of lined manilla paper.
He uncrumpled the edges, smoothing the creases out with his hands delicately.
