Pokemon: Adventures of FireRed

Chapter 6

Kanto, Pallet Town

"Dang! It bounced off again!"

"My turn next!"

"Think you can do it?"

"Be quite!"

A bunch of young kids was found busy surrounding a Nidorino, apparently taking turns in trying to catch it. It's a light-purple, quadrupedal Pokémon. It has several darker purple patches across its body. It has large, spiny ears with teal insides, narrow black eyes, and a long snout with two pointed teeth protruding from the upper jaw. It has a ridge of toxic spines on its back and a long, pointed horn on its forehead. Its short legs have three claws on each foot.

"I'm gonna catch this Pokemon and make it my pet!" A blonde haired girl claimed, as she started to position herself similarly to a pitcher with pokeball in her grasps.

"Ok, here goes!" The girl throws the pokeball towards the Nidorino.

The purple colored pokemon easily pry the flying pokeball with it's horn and yawning, looks bored after repeating the same thing many times.

"It bounced off again...?" The girl hung her head low in disappointment.

"Flamethrower!"

Out of nowhere, a stream of fire slammed into the unprepared Nidorino and pushed the poison pin pokemon a few meter away before exploded.

A cloud of smoke shrouded the surroundings vision and when it finally dispersed the results were clear. The Nidorino was found barely conscious while lying on the ground with burn marks covered it's entire body.

a pokeball suddenly hit it's body and sucked the Nidorino inside. Pokeball shook on the ground for once.

Another shake...

And another...

The click inside the capsule marked the Nidorino has successfully being caught.

A black haired boy with a red and white cap that has a tiny pokeball icon on the right corner and crimson red eyes, walked pass the still dumbfounded kids and picked the pokeball from the ground. He wears a unbuttoned red sleeveless jacket with a white collar, black undershirt, a pair of black fingerless gloves, baggy blue jeans, and finally a red and white running shoes.

A orange colored lizard with fire in the end of it's tail walks towards the boy and tugging his pants. After successful in gained the ravenette attention, the lizard raised it's head high. The boy shook his head in amusement as he kneeling in front of it and proceed to gently stroke it's head, earning a content sigh from the lizard.

"Wow that's so awesome!"

"Yeah, that was so cool, Red!"

The red eyed boy slowly turned his head towards the kid who called his name and raised an eyebrow. Okay, he didn't realize someone actually recognized him, let alone remember his name.

The ravenette sweatdropped as he finally noticed all of the kids eyes practically sparkling, as their gaze landed on the Pokeball in his hand.

Red turned his attention back towards the fire lizard in front of him and pointed his finger at his shoulder.

"Charmander!" The pokemon beamed as it understand the implication and quickly climbs into its trainer shoulder.

After steadying itself on the boy shoulder, the tiny lizard gave a thumb up towards its trainer. The boy chuckled slightly at his pokemon hilarious antics as he lifted himself and stored the now filled pokeball in his pocket, before walking away from the scene.
