It's been about a month since the Tokyo training camp; both Kuroo and Bokuto have been texting each other, planning when to meet up for almost two weeks. They finally got an opening: this weekend while Bokuto's parents are out of town visiting relatives.

Kuroo: so have you been doing your "research"?

Bokuto: ugh, yes I have, MOM!

Kuroo: I just want to make sure, I don't want to get hurt while we're doing this.

Bokuto: bro, I got you. I have the stuff ready. Like lube and condoms. And trust me, I'll go easy on you.

Kuroo: alright, alright, I believe you.

Well, I gotta go. I promised Kenma I would come over and play.

Bokuto: "play"? 😏

Kuroo: oh hush. I'll talk to you later.

Kuroo got a weird feeling when Bokuto sent that last text; he shook the feeling and put his phone away and got ready to head over to Kenma's house. Once in his room, he got settled on his bed while Kenma set things up.

"You have any plans this weekend?" Asked Kenma seemingly out of nowhere.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I do. Why?" Replied Kuroo, caught off guard.

"Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to spend the night to help me level up." He said as he continued to set things up.

Kuroo narrowed his eyes at Kenma, "Last time I did that, I barely got any shut eye."

Kenma exhaled a chuckle, "We could've stopped whenever you wanted."

Cute. Kuroo thought when Kenma chuckled, but quickly snapped out of his thoughts, "Yeah, but I didn't want to get you upset. You can get a little scary when you get upset, especially when you can't be loud in the middle of the night."

Kenma stopped what he was doing to turn around and stare daggers at him. Kuroo held up his hands in defense and added, "Hey, I'm just saying. You almost done there"

"Yeah, almost. So what are you doing this weekend?" He asked as he got the controllers plugged in.

Kuroo got up and sat next to Kenma on the floor as he took the second controller. Should I tell him? He is my best friend. Hmm, I won't tell him exactly what we're gonna do, though. "Well, Bokuto asked me to come over and help him shop for new clothes."

"Doesn't Akaashi help him with that sort of stuff?" Asked Kenma as he started up the game.

"Yeah, but he told me that Akaashi was busy with stuff so he asked me if I could help him out." He explained. Ugh, I hate lying to him. Hopefully this little lie doesn't backfire on me.

"Oh. Okay." Replied Kenma as he got a mission ready.

After about an hour of playing, Kenma exited the game and looked at Kuroo. "Hey, are you okay? Your play is off." He asked with a bit of worry in his voice.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine. Why would you think something is wrong?" Kuroo questioned. Shit, he's seeing right through me. I don't like lying to him, but I'm just not ready to tell him about my recent "realization."

"Any time your play was bad, there was always something bothering you. Like a few years ago when we kept losing in a game, you broke down in front of me right before you told me about your family issues." Kenma pointed. His face softened before he continued, "Look, whatever it is, I get it if you don't want to talk about it right now. Just know that I'm not gonna judge you about it."
