(Avery's outfit^)
Avery's POV
'Ahhhhh!' I open my door to Maddie and Ivy both screaming in excitement. 'Look what I brought!' Ivy pulls out an enormous bottle of vodka from her woven tote bag, bouncing through the open door into my living room.
I smile broadly, shaking my head as I shut my apartment door behind my friends. Following behind Maddie, I make my way into my green coloured kitchen and grab glasses for everyone.
I quickly place a cup under my copper sink and tap my bare feet on the wooden floorboards as I wait for it to fill up. I'm not a big drinker, but I'll have a few when I go out, I just like to stay hydrated while I do.
I sip my water while making my way over to my wooden dining table, placing the glasses down. Ivy and Maddie are popping champagne and laughing while I quickly clear my design notes from the table, collecting some stray books while I'm at it and bundling them up in my arms.
'I've just got to grab my shoes, hang on.' I rush into my bedroom and place everything on my desk, grabbing my black knee high boots and quickly sitting on my bed to pull them on. I step in front of my floor length mirror and run my hands through my hair one last time. My blue oversized blazer sits just above my mid-thigh, with a plunging neckline that I decided to pair with a black lace bralette.
I hear another pop of champagne and know that I have to get back out there. I touch up my lip gloss and walk out into the living room to find Maddie and Ivy doing shots. I look at them with mock disapproval and tsk them. They both look over at me slightly confused, waiting for me to say something.
I look them both in the eyes and say in my best mum voice, 'If you're going to do shots, you better have already poured mine then.' I crack a smile and they both laugh while grabbing even more bottles of alcohol. Oh God, this night is going to be fun.
I laugh and walk over to them. 'Okay, where's my glass?'
After drinking enough so that we were bordering on maybe a little bit too tipsy, the notion of hydrating myself with water completely out the window, my phone starts ringing from somewhere.
'Guys, guyss. Sshhhh. I can't find my phone.' My words slurring together did not help my case, as neither of them even heard me. I began searching, walking all around the small open space apartment until the ringing stopped. I looked down at the dining table I was standing in front of and grabbed my water glass from earlier.
Suddenly my phone started ringing again and I turned around, facing the couch where the noise seemed to be coming from. I bend down and stick my hand out, softly patting the carpet in search of the device. My hand touched something metal and I pulled it out from under the couch. I must've kicked it at some point, I think to myself, while mindlessly pressing the answer button.
'Helloo?' I fall back onto the couch and take a large gulp of water, feeling way too buzzed to be having a proper conversation.
'Avery?' Tristan. 'Avery what's going on, I've been calling you all night. Have you been drinking?'
I shake my head before realising he can't see me. 'No.' I reply guiltily.
'Avery. You know how I feel about you drinking. Especially when I'm not there to supervise.' I hear the condersention in his tone, making me want to hang up. 'I'm going to come get you and you can sleep at my place tonight. Understood?'
'Wait, but I...' I feebly try to argue with him.
'No. When you behave like this I have no choice but to help you, otherwise who will?'
