A/N: I think I'm getting better an updating more. I don't really know because I'm to busy being fucking lazy! Dammit! Still pisses me off. I need to stop nagging already. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy chapter 9 and like the book so far. Now onto the book.

Lucas POV

I watched as Greg sat back down with Chase. He was just about to get up and walk my way when Chase stopped him. Guess that means Chase is actually willing to talk to him. I'm still not sure about Chase though. He's so weird. All he does is sit by himself and draw. He doesn't even eat anything. Well, from what I've seen. And he's so pale. No one should be that pale. He looks almost dead. Its a bit creepy. Who knows, he could be a vampire. Yea, now I'm just being an idiot. Or maybe I'm just being cautious. That could be it. Oh just shut up Lucas. Greg seems to like him so I should at least give him a chance. I think. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned to see Ivan. Oh great. Now what?

"I want to talk to you." He glanced over at Chase and Greg and frowned slightly before looking back at me. I raised a brow at him.

"Why?"

"Just follow me." He began to walk away from the tree so I just sighed and followed. We walked until we were practically at the other side of the school. Do we really need to be this far away? Is he afraid they're going to see us? Well, if I was in Ivan's place, I surely wouldn't want to face Greg's wrath. That boy is going to tear Ivan limb from limb. If he can ever get to Ivan that is. I'll be the one holding him back because I don't want to see Greg go to jail. Ivan finally stopped and so did I. I stood casually as Ivan looked around, making sure no one was watching.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I folded my arms across my chest and leaned against the wall. Ivan sighed and looked at me.

"I want you to convince Greg to stay away from Chase."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

"Not unless you give me a reason." Ivan sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I don't trust that kid alright. He has a motive for getting close to Greg, I know it."

"What makes you think he has a motive?"

"Because..."

"That's not a reason."

"Fine! You want to know my reason?! He's a freak! A weirdo! Probably even a fucking faggot! He's just using Greg!" I sighed and ran a hand into my hair.

"You say that yet you don't know a thing about him."

"Yes I do."

"Oh really? And how do you know?"

"You can ask Lance." Lance? Who the hell is Lance? The question must have been written on my face since Ivan continued to tell me.

"My brother knows Lance. He's actually a sort of... acquaintance of Chase's." An acquaintance? Of Chase? But I thought he didn't talk to anyone at all.

"And who exactly is this Lance guy?"

"You can ask Chase that but I want you to tell Greg to stay away from Chase." I thought about it for a moment before shaking my head.

"Until I actually find a reason to not trust Chase, you can forget about me doing your dirty work."

"Come on Lucas! You're the only one Greg will listen to." I rolled my eyes and went to walk away from Ivan but he put a hand onto my shoulder to stop me.

"You'll tell him right?" I shrugged off his shoulder and walked away. Sure I'll tell him. If you put a gun to my head. Until I actually find a reason not to trust Chase, Ivan better stay the fuck away from me because I think I might end up being the one to kill him. He's really starting to get on my nerves with this whole deal. But I can't stop thinking about what he said. Who the fuck is Lance? And how is he tied to Chase?

Gregory POV

After talking to Chase for a little bit, I learned a few things about him. He draws when he's either upset or bored. He doesn't talk to people because... well, the answer he gave me was because he just can't. I don't think he'll tell me until I earn more trust but I'm fine with that. He has no problem talking to me though and I blushed at that. Good thing he didn't see it. He doesn't really listen to music or play video games since his aunt is one of those people who think game consoles and music players are a waste of money. That's just stupid if you ask me.

He doesn't have a cell since he thinks that asking his aunt for one would just be stupid and she would say no anyway. I'm really starting to hate his aunt. She sounds like such a bitch. When we finally finished talking, the bell rang and we left for class. I didn't see Lucas anywhere. He probably left for class before we did. I walked all the way to class with Chase, catching a glance of Lisa. She was all over a guy who didn't seem to mind and was going with it. When she caught me looking at her, hurt flashed through her eyes and she quickly looked away. The hell? Now I'm hurting her? That girl is hard to understand. Then again, so are all girls. Why are they so complicated?

We walked into the class and I sat in the back with Chase. I have to admit, I kind of like sitting in the back of the room. It makes me less noticeable to the girls who give me stares and giggles. Though I kind of know why they're like that. I heard that some girl went around telling everyone I fucked her and had sex with her when really, I didn't even know her. Now girls are thinking that I go around fucking every girl in sight.

Do they think I'm that much of a player? Honestly, why are teenagers so horny all the time? Especially teenage girls. Though its the really slutty ones you have to look out for. They'll have you in bed quicker than you can blink. It almost happened to Lucas and me. I don't know how they do it but they have some sort of power over guys. I think they might be sirens or something. Class actually ended pretty quickly on account of me not paying any attention to what the teacher was saying. I walked with Chase to our next class and I saw Lucas waiting for us.

"Where did you go while me and Chase were talking?"

"I got bored. Let's just get into the classroom already." I rolled my eyes at his statement and motioned Chase to follow me. He kept looking at the ground which I thought was just him avoiding having to talk to Lucas. He did tell me he can't really talk to people. I still don't know why and its frustrating not knowing. At least I've gained a little bit of his trust so he'll talk to me. And I think I might have to do something about Chase not having anyway to contact people. And I know the perfect solution too.

A/N: Wow! 2 chapters in one day! I'm proud of myself. Not to mention that we finally got to read from Lucas' perspective. And the picture on the side was of Chase's aunt. You know, bitchy-I-hate-everything-involving-Chase-basically aunt Danice. Lady is just so annoying. Maybe I'll change that in the future. I just hope I'll update enough to actually get to do so. Vote, comment, fan, you know what to do. Continue to support me and I will reward you with more. Until next chapter!
