A/N: I can't believe I've gotten so far on this book. And over 60 pages! Wow. Anyway, this is the continuation of chapter 30, as you all know, where Ivan has kidnapped Chase but no one knows that little detail. Greg is freaking out and all he has is Chase's locket and bag which I might add, Chase never goes anywhere without. Oh God, now I'm doing recaps. I'm just going to shut up now. Enjoy!

Lucas POV

I could tell Greg was very stressed out over Chase and I've gotta tell you, that's a first for him. He's usually never stressed out over anything, not even a game. Now he's covered in sweat, his hands are shaking profusely and his leg won't stop bouncing. He's acting like he has a wife who's gone into surgery for a c-section and its already been a couple of hours. Poor guy looks horrible.

Most of the people in class have also noticed his behavior but are brushing it off. I guess they think he's freaking out over a class or football when its really about his boyfriend. Strange how no one seems to know he's even dating Chase. You'd think people would have noticed and said something but they seem to ignore it. Strange. After all, Greg is practically head jock of our school. Scratch that, he is head jock of our school. The jock who's close to having a heart attack.

The bell rings and Greg is out of class faster than a speeding bullet. I move as fast as I can and am barely able to keep up with him. I follow him as we wander throughout the school, checking everywhere but seeing no sign of Chase. He's nowhere to be found and that's only adding to Greg's already frayed nerves. Lisa meets us by Greg's limo, Greg pacing back and forth while me, Stanley and Lisa watch the poor guy. I feel sorry for him. I've never seen him this scared over anything and frankly, its breaking my heart to see him like this. I walk over to Greg and put a hand on his shoulder.

"That's enough Greg. You need to calm down. Keep acting like you are and you're going to have a heart attack in a few seconds." Greg seemed to pause and stared at me but reluctantly took in a few deep breaths and calmed down. His tense muscles loosened and his body went from a violent trembling to a tiny shake. I let out a breath and spoke again.

"Considering we didn't find Chase anywhere on the school grounds, we should go visit his house. He might be there." Greg only nods and he stares at the ground. I feel the sadness in me grow as I stare at my best friend, the guy I've spent many years of my life with, breaking down in front of me. I know how cheesy and girlie I must sound right now but I don't care. What I care about is helping my pal and finding Chase.

We pile into the limo and are soon driving the way to Chase's house. The drive isn't long and we're soon pulling up to the house, Stanley parking the limo in front of the driveway. Greg gets out and slowly walks up to the door, probably trying very hard not to shout at Chase to open up, if he's even in there. He knocks a few times and the door opens. What meets us isn't Chase but another guy. I've never seen him before and I can only guess at who it is. Hopefully that guess is wrong. He seems to have a bored look on his face and he speaks with just as much in his voice.

"Can I help you?" I look at Greg and notice that his eyes have gone wide. His hands are rolled into fists and his body has begun to tremble again. I can already tell he's about to burst with anger so I take the chance and step in front of him, me doing the talking.

"We're looking for Chase. Is he here?" This seems to catch the guy's interest but only for a moment as I see his lips twitch. I'm pretty sure he was just about to grin but I brush it off as he speaks again.

"Sorry. You just missed him. He went off with his aunt to the store."

"Then when they get back, can you tell him we stopped by?"

"Sure thing." His lips have formed into an actual smile this time but I simply brush it off again. I say bye to him and make sure Greg can't get close enough to him to do what I know he's dying to do. Just one look at the guy, and you get the sensation that he's evil. Pure bred evil. I push Greg back into the limo and Lisa gets in after me. We drive off and I notice Greg calming down a bit but still looks mad as hell. He knows what I do and that the guy we just saw is the same person Chase is trying to avoid. Hard to believe, we just met the Lance who hurt Chase all those years ago.
