After the date, I rarely "bumped" into Johnny anymore. We would talk occasionally through text, but that was it.

We also mostly saw each other at the gym, and even then, he didn't bother me much.

I will admit, I was a bit relieved at first, and then I was a bit sad. Like... He went to giving me so much attention to giving me close to none... I didn't know what to do with myself anymore.

What do you want, Scarlett???

"You're not stalking me anymore?" I asked jokingly and he smiled at me.

"Not that I was, but no. Now I'm focusing on how I'll get you on a date after we've done these last two."

I just hummed as I put my focused ahead of me.

"Why? Missing me already?" He asked with a playfully smirk and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself, Johnny." Just as I said that, the treadmill beeped, signalling the end of my exercise. "Well, then. Goodbye."

"I got a message from the pottery place last night. Our stuff is ready."

He said, making me stop and turn to him. "Well that was fast. I thought you said it would take about two weeks."

"That's what I was told... Anyways, if you're free, we can go tomorrow."

"Eager to get this over and done with, huh?" I asked with a small smile.

"More like eager to spend time with you." He stopped his treadmill and leaned on the bar, panting slightly, he got his towel and wiped the sweet from his face. "I really had fun with you last week and I got to see a side of you that I swear you promised yourself never to show me." My face tinted at his revelation and I looked at the ground for a quick second before looking back up at him. "I would like to see that part again, sooner rather than later. And don't worry about after these last two dates, we'll still be seeing lots of each other, even if you play hard to get." He finished with a wink.

I took in a breath and took a step back. For some reason, I didn't know what to say. "What? Cat caught your tongue?" He asked with a smirk and and I scoffed, subtly rolling my eyes - I seemed to do that a lot wherever Johnny was involved.

"I'm just wondering how you can be so confident all the time..." I said, leaning on the the bar of the treadmill I had just dismounted not long before.

Johnny gave a light chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair. "If I'm not confident, who will do it for me? I needed a lot of confidence to keep asking you out after you mercilessly shot me down so many times." He chuckled again.

"And why is that? I'm pretty sure I've told you to give up countless of times."

"True... But what would be the point? 'Cause if I had given up, I would've regretted it. And besides, you finally agreed. Might've taken a lot of asking and might've ruined my confidence just a tinsy, winsy bit," he held his index and them fingers up, almost touching, to show me me just how much, "but you agreed to it in the end." He shrugged.

"You know I only agreed to get you off my back, right?"

"I know. I know. And that doesn't deter me. Just as I got you to go out with me, I'll get you to give me a proper chance... Sooner or later, Scar, I'll have that stone heart of yours beating." He said with a warm smile as he pointed at my chest, where, unknown to him, my "stone heart" was beating so hard and uncomfortably all because of him.

I nodded with a ghost smile. "By, Johnny." I mumbled before walking off, leaving Johnny grinning like a loon.

"I'll pick you up at ten!" He yelled behind me and I waved him off.
