The first of July finally came around and I was really proud of how my work turned out.

I met the birthday boy, Taeyong, again for the second time and honestly, I was quite surprised because the first time I met him, I thought he was quiet and intimidating, but boy was I wrong.

His outgoing and loud personality really didn't match his intimidating and cold look and he sure did have a way of lighting up the room with his energetic personality.

When I realised how he truly was, it wasn't a surprise when I saw how he attracted everyone's attention, it wasn't because they felt obligated because it was his birthday, they truly wanted to be around the joyful bubble of a man

"You did really well with the party, Scar. I'm proud of you." Jungwoo said as he gave me a side hug.

"Did you ever doubt me?"

"Of course not. I knew you had it, that's why I got you specifically." I smiled and nodded as I took a sip if my juice.

We moved into a comfortable silence, the only thing breaking it being the TV, before Jungwoo spoke up again. "So... Johnny..." He said randomly.

"What about him?" I asked, looking at him from over the rim of my glass.

"You two seem to be getting close?"

"I think you may be delusional, sir." I put the glass down on the coffee table and turned my body so that I was facing him straight on.

"Honestly though, I think you would look great together." He said, avoiding eye contact as I stared at him bluntly.

"What are you trying to do?"

"Nothing, I swear. I'm just saying what I think."

I stood up, going to the kitchen to check if there was some ice cream in his fridge. "Maybe you shouldn't..."

"Okay, okay... But, just so you know, he can get very persistent when he wants something. And right now, it seems like he's taken a liking to you."

"Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll be fine."

He was quiet for a few minutes before he starts again. "You really did a great job with the party. Taeyong was so happy."

"Thanks. But I think he was mostly happy because of the surprise rather than the party."

"Yeah. True. Honestly, though, I really do think you and Johnny would go great together." I exhaled deeply through my nose before putting the tub of ice cream down on the table and stood up.

"I'm gonna go now."

"No, wait!" He said as he stood up and locked me in a tight bear hug. I struggled to get out, he always did this when I threatened to leave. "I'm sorry, I'll stop." He said into my hair.

"Promise?"

"Promise." He said with a slight nod before letting me go and we sat back down.

We sat in more silence before I broke it. "If you were friends with these people for so long, how come I'm only meeting them now?"

"I met most of them at work, and I just wanted to keep you to myself." He said simply.

"Oh, so... I'm like your dirty little secret?" I said with mock offence and he chuckled.

"It's not that... Have you met these guys? I couldn't leave you alone for a second, 'cause if I did... We wouldn't be sitting here right now." He stated matter-of-factley.

"Then why did you make me plan this party?"

He's quiet for a few seconds before he says, "I had to get your mind off of him, and it just so happened that Taeyong's birthday was coming up, and the boys wanted to make a huge party for him."

I looked at him with soft eyes before smiling. "Thank you." I said as I kissed his cheek and snuggled closer to him.
