After Taeyong's party, I finally decided to drown myself in my work and work on more events — but I always stayed away from weddings, it was something I did subconsciously. Whenever someone wanted me to plan their wedding, I always handed the job to someone else.
The thought of weddings just made me anxious now, and it wasn't really helping with anything.
I was out with Butterfly at a dog café, busy with a new event to work on when Johnny just "happened" to be in the same area.
Dude doesn't even have a dog, or pet of any kind — I think.
I kind of gave up questioning how he was always at the same place as me whenever I was free a while ago.
When he sat down in front of me with a cup of bubble tea and a little white Pomeranian in his lap, I just ignored him and kept working on my laptop.
"Whatcha doin'?" He asked in a sing-song voice as he tried to look into my planner.
"I'm working here, Johnny. Do you mind?" I muttered.
"Not at all, love. I'll just be here playing with Princess. Isn't that right baby?..." He started obnoxiously playing with the pup in his lap, making it hard for me to concentrate.
I kept quiet for a few minutes, hoping he would let up, but no sir... I mean, this is Johnny that we're talking about.
So I put my pen down and closed my planner.
"Oh... Why'd you stop? Are you done already?" He asked in an annoyingly sweet tone, knowing very well why I stopped working.
"What do you want, Johnny?" I asked as I rubbed the bridge of me nose with my eyes shut.
"What do you mean? I'm just here to play with the adorable doggies. Like this one. Say hi Princess. Say hi to mommy..." I looked at him as though he had lost it.
"And I'm assuming you're "daddy"?" I asked with a brow raised and he looked up at me with a smirk.
"I mean... If you want. I won't say no." He said with a suggestive wiggle of his eyebrows and I leaned over the table to hit his arm. "Hey, careful... No violence in front of the kids." He cooed to Princess.
I didn't even know what to say so I just briefly looked at him before summoning Butterfly to me and she strutted over like a little dog model.
"Go out with me..." Johnny said, making me look at him, but he was still looking at the puffball in his lap.
"What?" I asked, not sure if I heard him right.
"Go out with me." He repeated.
"Are you telling me or asking me?" I asked with a raise of my brow.
"... I'm asking you." He said with a sheepish blush, avoiding eye contact.
"Then ask me properly." I said, sitting straight and giving him my full attention.
"Will you... Will you go out with me?"
I looked right at him, stared straight into his eyes so that he could see how serious I was.
"No." I said bluntly.
He blinked a couple times, as if he couldn't contemplate what I had just said.
"No?" He repeated unbelieving.
"No."
"But... Why not?" He asked with a small voice.
"I... I don't think it's a good idea."
"Again, but why not?"
"I'm not looking for a relationship, okay. Please, Johnny, don't make me repeat myself."
He licked his lips before nodding slowly.
"It's okay. No worries."
"No hard feeling?" I ask him and he smiles, taking a sip of his drink.
"No hard feelings. But don't think that this deterred me."
"Sure, Johnny."
