At exactly 10:00, Johnny was outside. He pressed the button to alert me that he had arrived.

"I'll be down in a sec." I said as I put my shoes on.

"Bring Butterfly."

"What? Why?"

"Just, bring her."

"But... Why?"

"Scar, bring her." I rolled my eyes at his secrecy, but carried her with me downstairs nonetheless.

It wasn't until I was almost outside that I realised Johnny didn't have a car, and I most certainly wasn't comfortable with the idea of my baby on a bike.

I almost turned around and went inside to return her, but I was stopped by Johnny calling my name.

"Where are you going?" He asked with an amused smile. "Don't tell me you're already planning on ditching me?" He continued as he collected Butterfly into his arms and started her bouncing with her a bit.

"I... No. It's just..."

"Am I making you shy?" He asked lowly with an amused smile and I rolled my eyes.

"Why did you want me to bring Butterfly?" I asked, instead of answering.

"No reason. I just thought it would be fun if she could tag along."

"She can't though."

"Why not?"

"Unless you attached a side car to your bike, I'm not getting on it with her." It wasn't long before his loud laugh filled my ears.

"Oh no, I borrowed a friend's car. Did you think... that I..." He couldn't complete his sentence due to laughing.

It really isn't that funny. I thought as I scrunched my mouth to the side and waited for him to calm down.

"I'm sorry..." He said after he finally calmed down. "Anyways, shall we?" He said as gestured to a navy blue car.

"Sure." He opened the passenger side door for me and I thanked him as he placed Butterfly on my lap.

"They allow pets at the pottery?" I asked as Johnny started the engine.

"Mm-hm. But that's not where we're going."

"Oh?"

"I found this animal centre a few hours away. I thought you might like it."

"What about the—"

"I booked late, so they were only able to fit us in later in the day. So while we wait we can play with cute animals."

"Mm, I don't know. Butterfly might get jealous." Just as I said that, Butterfly gave a small bark and Johnny and I laughed as I scratched her ear.

"I don't think so. Huh, girl? You wouldn't mind making a new friend, right?"

He got two excited barks as a response and he reached a hand over to pet her. "That's a good girl."

Johnny wasn't kidding when he said that the centre was a few hours away. It wasn't exactly that long, but it felt like we were on the road for an eternity. Butterfly even ended falling asleep on my lap.

Sometimes I would blow gently on her face and her eyes would open a bit to see what was going on.

"Leave her be." Johnny said with a chuckle as he glanced at us every now and then.

"I'm bored. Are we there yet?" I whined and he chuckled.

"Almost. Hang in there for a bit."

Not long after, he parked the car in a semi full parking lot in front of a huge square building. Luckily, Butterfly had woken up, so I attached a leash to her collar and let her walk on her own into the centre.

When we entered the building, the lady in front gave us some visitor tags. Even Butterfly got one clipped onto her collar. The lady, Baekho, then led us through some doors to the place where we could play with the animals.

"Aww, this is pretty." I cooed as I looked at the decorations and how the setting was for each specific animal.

I followed Butterfly as she ran to another group of shih tzu's. I sat down next to them and watched them running around and playing.

A few minutes later, a cute little beagle puppy made its way to my lap with a toy in its mouth. I giggled as I scratched behind its ears.

"What's her name?" I asked, not taking my eyes off of the pup.

"Sandy." A worker said from somewhere behind me.

I gently took the toy from Sandy's mouth and dangled it in the air. She tried to climb on me to get the toy but I kept lifting it higher.

When I noticed that Johnny had been quiet for way too long, I looked around for him to make sure he hadn't disappeared, but I found him sitting a few feet away from me looking at me intently.

I couldn't help the blush that made its way to my cheeks at the thought of being watched. "What?" I asked him and he shook his head, playing with the dog on his lap.

"I'm just admiring you."

I rolled my eyes before saying, "There's nothing to admire." I told him and he scoffed.

"Of course there is. You just have to look from my point of view."

At a loss for words, I looked away from him and continued playing with Sandy, fully aware of Johnny's smug smile.
