chapter 1

"Your majesty?"
"I already told you, I'm not interested in getting a Queen."

The king sighed and slung one leg over the arm of the chair he was sitting in, taking a sip out of his glass chalice before putting it back on the table behind his head. "Please reconsider, your majesty. You are a very handsome young man and females are throwing themselves at you!"
"Then tell them to stop as I am not interested in getting a female partner." The king said rather nonchalantly, tapping his foot on the floor. The shoe he was wearing making an eerie echoing noice throughout the dark, empty hall. "Thank you, gentlemen. You are both dismissed. Please see yourselves out."
"Certainly, my King." Both men bowed before leaving the hall.

He removed his leg from the arm of the chair and sat up straight, placing both his hands besides him before clapping twice to summon his servant. The servant ran up the aisle and stopped at the foot of the stairs, leading up to where he was sat, and bowed. "Yes sir?"
"Good morning, Mark. Did you eat your breakfast already?" Mark smiled at the question, answering promptly. "Yes, I did. I woke up particularly hungry today so I made sure to have a big breakfast."
"Good. How's that boy, Donghyuk? You couldn't stop talking about him yesterday." Mark giggled and smiled a little bit. "I believe he's ok." Both males smiled at eachother for a brief moment before the King continued. "I would like to go to the human world again today. Could you please fetch me my supplements?" "Of course, my King."

When going to the human world, Vampires such as them, had to take supplements to stop their scent being picked up by other humanoids. Even though he was quite strong and dominant, he liked to take them, just to be safe. He didn't want to leave his kingdom without a ruler.

The king changed out of his black suit and into black jeans, a grey t-shirt and a black jacket. He then dismissed Mark from all his duties until the morning so he could spend more time with Donghyuk and because his services weren't required. The king then left, forgetting to take his supplements.

"Sicheng! Wake up! Get Renjun some milk!" Sicheng growled softly before getting his younger brother some milk. Renjun wasn't actually his brother, none of them were actually related but they all lived together as a pack.

They were werewolves but could control their wolf instincts to an extent and turn into wolves any time they chose.

A regular werewolf pack is usaly consistent of blood relatives, however, most members of this pack had lost their original family and had found eachother. The only ones who hadn't lost their family were the ones not of Chinese nationality.

"I heard that growl, Sicheng!" Sicheng heard Kun shout at him, also growing to affirm dominance. (A/N T posing. Lmao) Kun was an alpha whilst Sicheng was an omega. Sicheng whimpered an apology which Kun accepted as he brought up the milk for Renjun.

"Do you remember what happened the last time you growled at someone above you?" Kun asked Sicheng after he had walked him outside and out of earshot of the others. Sicheng nodded and looked down, uncomfortable. Sicheng never liked being scolded, especially by Kun. "If I hear you growling again at a situation like that, I'm going to have to punish you again." Sicheng whimpered and lowered his head. "Good." Kun walked back to their little house in the middle of the forest, leaving Sicheng there with his head down.

"SICHENG!" Kun called back to him. "YEAH?"
"GO HUNT SOMETHING! WE'RE ALL HUNGRY!" Sicheng nodded and rolled his eyes after he's turned his back to them, walking further into the forest. "Why couldn't they get Lucas to hunt something? He's always boasting about being the best hunter and he's a beta." Sicheng sighed before turning himself into a wolf for more efficient hunting.

After a while, Chenle looked out the window to see Sicheng in wolf form, barking at the house with a dead deer next to him. "Kun! Sicheng has a horse!" His friend, Jisung shouted. Chenle and Jisung were both Betas. "Its a fcking deer you twat!"

Kun stepped out of the house and saw wolf form Sicheng sat next to the big, dead deer. "You killed this?" Kun asked and Sicheng nodded before laying down, showing exhaustion. "Help me cut a bit off for Jaemin and Jungwoo. They need their meat cooked." Sicheng nodded before shifting back to human form to prepare the meat for the two hybrids.

~after they've all eaten~

"Alpha..?"
"You only call me that when you want something. Omega."
"Can I go to the city? Just for a few days."
"Why would you want to go there for?"
"I..I haven't found my mate yet and I.... heats are really bad for me and I need to....... I should be looking for my mate at my age." Sicheng tried to explain, hanging his head low in embarrassment.
"Sicheng ge's manly instincts are beginning to wake up." Yangyang chipped in, teasing Sicheng, making him blush a deep shade of pink.
"Kun ge. Please?"
"Just three days, Sicheng. Be safe out there." Sicheng smiled brightly at Kun before hugging him and running to his room to pack a bag with three days worth of clothes and money.
