Jaehyun POV

"Lucas~" he whispered, running his fingers along the hickeys he made in his neck last night. As he reminisced of the night before, he remembered that Lucas kept mentioning something about him being his mate and needing to mark him. Jaehyun had no idea what he was on about and assumed that it was just a weird fetish of his. He shrugged it off deciding to get dressed and ready for the day ahead.

"Hey! Johnny!" Jaehyun called after noticing the vampire holding a sword over a fire with a hammer in his other hand. Said vampire turned around and smiled upon noticing him. Jaehyun ran towards the elder with a slight limp and hugged him.
"Had fun last night?" Johnny asked raising an eyebrow making the younger blush and turn his face away slightly.

"Most werewolves don't just sleep around like that without a reason. He might be trying to find you."
"I doubt it. He didnt even give me a way to contact him." He sighed
"You sad bout that? If it wasnt anything special, he would have given you a way to contact him. Werewolves find their mates so he should just find you unless it was actually a fling." Jaehyun paused to think about what Johnny had told him before Johnny started talking again. "I met ten once quite a while back, we got acquainted then I left and came back here. A few weeks later when I went back to the human world, the first person I saw was ten. This happened every time I went to the human world until he told me we were mates and were meant to be together." Jaehyun paused. Johnny noticed. Lucas mentioned something about them being mates. He decided to leave the conversation.
"I- I'm gonna go. I have to meet my client i-in the library soon. I- I'll be back tho." Jaehyun stuttered as he made his way out of the smithing room and towards the library, Johnny's knowing smile never leaving him.

Jaehyun put the book back down. He had read enough.

'I'm his mate?' Jaehyun asked himself. 'Is that that what Johnny was talking about? The werewolves can find their mates on instinct? He doesnt need to know how to contact me and I dont know how to contact him, he'll... find me?" Jaehyun's thoughts kept running around in his head. Most of the time, he didnt know what he was thinking, knowing only that he was thinking stuff.

His muffled thoughts stopped when his client walked in. She was a worrier who had been to war many times. One of the kingdoms aces. He mustered a smile as he greeted her. She smiled back before they began their business.
