𝟏 - 𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍

「 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 」

Before you know it, you're back at Heavens Arena. It's been five years since you've went to the 200th floor. Being a floor master five years ago felt like a short whim of time as soon as you felt the atmosphere. That signature Heavens Arena scent made you nostalgic.

You're here just to visit your 'close acquaintance', Killua Zoldyck. In older times he couldn't bare the term 'friend' for personal reasons. The odd term, 'close acquaintance', stuck around the both of you since the beginning of yours and his relationship. However now, you're quite surprised to the reason why he wanted you to pay a visit—he wanted to introduce you to his best friend.

You arrived in front of his room. You knocked without hesitation.

"(Y/N)!"

"Killua!"

He greeted you with excitement. So exhilarating that he hopped to your height, enough for him to wrap his arms around your body. You hugged him back and proceeded to crouch and let go.

"Out of all the places an expert assassin could visit, why Heavens Arena?" you nudged the question at him.

"He's my reason why,"

Killua stepped aside and behind him revealed a black-green haired child. A friendly smile was tattooed on his face. His radiating aura was bubbly and pure, you sensed it. You greeted him with a friendly grin. He approached you shyly.

"Hello, (Y/N)-san. I'm Gon Freecs! I-it's very nice to meet you.. Killua told me so much about you :)"

"Right back at you, Gon! I love your energy—its empowering!" you complimented him.

His eyes lit up to the tone of your voice. A "really? thank you" look was written all over him. By the looks of it, you have won over his heart—he adores you. You could tell that he's a good kid who is passionate to pursue anything he wants in the world. You giggled in awe to his response.

The three of you sat down on the couch. You took your time and seep in a little catch-up with Killua. Gon was also taking part in the conversation, telling adventure stories during the hunter exam.

"Really? I'm glad you guys had fun in the exam! The exam I had was way boring and super energy-consuming. I'm jealous," you insinuated a comment.

"Well that's probably because you're no fun!" Killua joked. He pulled his tongue out to mock you. You returned the favor by mirroring his action.

"Killu, what does your mom and dad think about this? Having a 'friend' and all?" you asked out of the blue. Killua paused a bit to ponder. He immediately bursted a cheeky smile.

"Mother and Milluki weren't cool with me having friends at first. Luckily, Father thought highly of my decision and supported me! Thus why I'm here instead of being stuck in that stinking mountain," he replied.

Your palm approached Killua's presence and he returned the high five you wanted. You also gave Gon a high five because he seemed like he was waiting for his turn too.

Laughter and joy filled the room as a few more hours passed the clock. It was time to say your farewells. You had just earned a new task from a prominent client and you swore to do your research tonight before striking the field. Two boys hugged your figure as you patted their heads.

"Good luck," you sparked at them on the door. They both nodded and waved at you simultaneously. Before leaving you swore you could hear the boy in the green fit whispering "she's really cool" to the expert assassin. You smiled in the convenience.

You walked down through the hallway to quickly catch the elevator down. A familiar sweet flowery scent captured through the air and it made your senses tingled. No fucking way.

"Hisoka?!"

You froze at the sight of him. The sadistic magician stood still as his eyes scanned up and down your figure. For what's sake is he here at fucking Heavens Arena? Gosh, I'm starting to loathe this place.

"(Y/N). Its a small world after all~" he cheekily said. A smirk visibly painted on his pale lips.

Funny enough, you actually met Hisoka, your ex, here. At the time you were just exiting your room when you locked eyes with him in the hallway, and he was startled. He was a floor master who happened to stay next door. No, he wasn't your opponent by any chance. But the both of you were tangled in a fling had he find you attractive and powerful. Your bloodthirsty combat skills swooned him. You are someone undefeated to him, and that's why he was crazy about you.

"Care to have a little chat?" He unlocked his room door that was uncoincidentally designed a few rooms away from Killua's.

"No."

"Please?"

You doubted your hearing for a second. Hisoka plead to chat with you. You were in disbelief.

"Come again?" you asked to tease him.

"(Y/N) I won't ask twice-"

"And I won't settle to chat with you." Hisoka sighed in amusement and licked his upper lip. He indulged in the teases you give him—it makes him weak. Nobody could make him feel the way he feels like you do.

My, my. You haven't changed at all, darling <3

"Please (Y/N), let's chat for a while?" He asked. It was clear that his tone was insincere. Although he adores the feeling, he absolutely hates begging for something. Even at you.

"Okay~" you answered him, mimicing his signature 'okay' sound he often uses.

He stepped aside and lets you in first. His smile was in your peripheral view and a bit of bloodlust failed to suppress in him. He was filled with excitement to speak to you as he locked the room door behind.
