"Tell 'em to pay up, you know my account."

You hung up the call. Again, you've completed another task from a client. This time, you had to hunt down a stolen 30 million Zenny painting that originated from Meteor City. The artist was not someone prominent, not that you know of. You weren't fond of taking jobs for artworks whose artist was not known of, but you took the deal anyways because it paid more than the bills.

You carefully wrapped the painting and putting it in a bag. You still had to carry it and bring it back safely to your client.

It's been weeks since the auction happened. The calamitous encounter you had with Hisoka, Illumi, and Chrollo has never stopped lingering in your mind especially with Chrollo.

"I don't mind. (Y/N), we can always continue this conversation anytime that is suitable for you,"

Anytime I want, huh? I don't even know when I'll see you again. You shook your head to get rid of the thoughts. What am I doing thinking about someone like Chrollo?

We were just strangers who happen to take interest in something similar. It's not like he's anything special to me.

You carefully dip your finger tips in the water. It was not sizzling hot nor was it lukewarm — just the right temperature. You submerged your body into your bathtub after a long day of work as a hunter.

You weren't busy this month. Your schedule lacked of clients and it turned you off. You crave for the action, life threatening situations, blood rush, all of the above. The word 'bored' couldn't even come close to the yearning feeling you're having. It was probably one of the reasons why you became a hunter in the first place; adventure.

*RING!*

You checked your phone that was lying on top of a small wooden table. An unknown number was calling you.

"Hello?" you picked up the call.

"(Y/N)! How are you?" a shrill voice swarmed your ear. It was a familiar voice.

"Gon?!" you sat up straight in the tub, causing water to escape and spill on the floor.

"Ah, yeah.. But hey, you remembered me!" Gon said excitedly.

"Of course I remember you! I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. H-how'd you get this number?" you asked him. "Killua, of course!"

"We miss you (Y/N). We finally learned Nen while fighting in Heaven's Arena, but now we're at Whale Island! Killua's here with me, say hi-"

You can hear distant murmurs of Killua opposing and denying that he misses you. You chuckled at the little quarrel they have.

"Hey, (Y/N)," Killua's voice finally came through.

"Killua-chan! What's up," you answered him.

"Oi, I told you not to call me that," he responded. A 'sorry' parted your lips as a wide grin was plastered on your face.

"How's Whale Island for you?" you asked the boy on the phone. "I'm. I'm actually having fun. L-like, genuinely,"

He whispered the word 'genuine', not wanting Gon to hear him. You were actually surprised how Killua was now so open to you. His friendship with Gon really changed him as a person. You were tearing up knowing how Killua is enjoying life like a real 12 year old. He's gone through so much.

"(Y/N) we are gonna go for a swim! Can we call you later?" Gon's voice suddenly took over the phone call.

"Oh sure, no problem. Have fun you guys!" you replied to him.

"Save my number, alright?" Gon commanded you. You quickly did what you were told. You swore you could hear Killua laughed out loud before Gon ended the call.

You threw your head back to your normal relaxed position. A hundreds thoughts flashed by your mind. Killua and Gon grew up and finally got introduced to Nen during their time in Heaven's Arena. Heck, even Gon was strong enough to punch Hisoka in the face.

Hisoka.

You got up from your tub and grabbed the nearest towel. As you wrapped it around your body, you head over to your washing machine.

Your eyes darted around the machine to find the object in question. Ugh. His damn Hunter's Pin.

You took it and held it in your right hand. You turned the pin around.

"Return to Hisoka at all cost ;)"

You rolled your eyes to the written instruction. Hisoka is really mocking you. You bargained between giving it back to him or just throwing it away. Taking a deep breath, you chose to do option two.

You opened the nearest window to your left, just above your dryer, throwing the useless pin away.

"So long, sucker!" you exclaimed as you let go of the pin. You brushed off your hands proudly. You won't let Hisoka get the best of you.

You spoke too soon. The pin immediately bounced back after hitting the ground. With just enough momentum, it landed back safely on your window sill.

You were surprised. Knowing well of Hisoka's dirty tricks, you activated your Gyo. B-Bungee Gum?!? This bastard! It was hooked on the pin, forbidding you from throwing it away.

The only way you could remove the nasty Nen was if he did it himself. You have to go to him.

Fully clothed, you sat down on your study. You opened your phone to find Hisoka's text from several months ago.

[Clown Bitch]

We need to talk.
