I laid on the soft matress and relaxed. Luckily the back pack they gave me had money.
Just enough for me to pay advance and current for an apartment. The apartment is studio type and had a small bathroom, a kitchen full of materials needed to cook and a matress and cabinet. The matress was directly laid on the floor and the room is dusty when I the landlady offered this to me.
The landlady said that the owner of this apartment was a single mom and she then never showed up to pick her left things.
The money I had left, I used it to full tank the LPG tank since it was left her.
I also bought some food, clothes, bedsheets, towels, blankets and essentials. The room is cozy but the silence is killing me.
I stood up again and reached for the guitar that was hanged in the wall. I started strumming and humming. Pepsi is eating. The phone chirped so I reached for it, turns out the phone they gave was from one of Monroe's men.
I just finished cleaning so my hand is so dirty. I opened the message, I have a deal later at 9 at some diner near the beach.
The time is already 8:13 pm so I went to take a bath. The shower was cold and it's raining outside. Luckily with the money I had I got the chance to buy myself an umbrella.
Ever since i always wanted an umbrella. It's shallowfor a 21 yera old like me to be so happy with an umbrella. But what can I do? I was deprived of having that as a kid and it has been my frustration ever since then.
By the time I was leaving I let go of Pepsi's leash so he can sleep on the matress.
I locked the door and left, I rode a taxi to the diner. When got there I texted the person whom will be my costumer.
The person texted me to go at the back. I readied my swiss knife and pepper spray just in case they double cross me.
I was alerted when I heard muffled noises. I hid at the dark quietly and drew closer to them. 4 men bathing in the rain. The three looked bulky and they are pointing a knife at the 4th guy who is thinner but taller than all of them.
I watched how they treatened the poor guy until he gave in and gave his money to them. They all them left a kick each at the thin guys gut.
I bet that was super painful. Moments later a text arrive asking if where I am. I went out out of the dark and they all smiled at me. I almost vomit seeing how ugly they are even in the dark.
The guy that have been robbed is still laying on the ground aching in pain and wet in the rain.
I handed them the packet they handed me the payment-the poor guys money- No further talking happened an they all left.
I was about to leave too when I heard the guy moaned in pain. I don't know but I just found myself then helping him.
We entered my appartment. Pepsi as a dog that he is barked at him for a good two minutes. But when Pepsi notice that the man did not een flinch at his barks he shut up and laid in the matress again.
I told the man to take a bath. He had bruises. I know how bruise feels like. Luckily the man had his clothes dry, he told me he was ordering food at the diner when those three rascals pulled him at the back and no one even dared to help him.
The man came out already dress. I motioned him to sit the at high chair. The apartment had an Island counter top and two high chairs but no TV.
"Why did you take me in?" He ask in a low voice. I am not cruel but sometimes I just have to act like one.
Did I also mention that he speaks so child like? He maybe tall and thin but he is the complete meaning of the word SHY.
"When did you last properly ate? You looked so thin." I diverted the topic. He looked away and seemed to have teary eyes.
See? So shallow. No wonder he was picked to be robbed by those addicts.
"Last sunday." He said like a child. I raised an eyebrow and opened my cupboard and took out two plates and a pair of utensils as well as a glass.
"But today is Wednesday." I said. He started playing with his fingers. Fidgeting and cracking them, showing how nervous he is.
"I was saving the money I had until I find a job." He answered me. What an honest boy. Tsk if only he knew that a job is so hard to find in this part of the city.
"What do you wanna eat?" I don't even know why I am asking what he wants, I am the one who is supposed to be deciding.
"Hotdog Omelette..." I wonder how he was raised.
I started searching the fridge for hotdogs and eggs. I still Continued to interrogate him.
"How'd you get here in Southeast Bailey anyway?" He shrugged watching me slice the hotdogs.
"Ran away." Now this is interesting.
"Where'd you came from?" Is it fate? But really, maybe this was the reason I helped him. Because my heart knows that we are on the same page of this shitty life and we both are lost in a city far from the hell holes we lived in.
"Beachtown Arc." I stared at him. That's so far from here.
"That's 15 miles away from here, why'd you run away?" I asked more curious.
"My fat-her is a drunkard and he can't keep his hands to himself." I nodded. Typical drunkards.
"I'm from wheeltown Gates. My name is Arahera Lances. 21." I introduced.
"Judah Mailey Malfright. 23." He extended his hand but I did not accept it instead I handed him the knife. He seemed to understand since he shyly stood up and started slicing the hotdogs.
He doesn't seem dangerous, in fact he looked like an angel. Pale skin, jett black hair, long pointed nose, well let's not judge the jawline so much, plump pinkish lips and all in all his feature is soft. Like kid. A malnurished one.
Maybe I need this too... A companion just for a little while, if he decides to stay until he find himself a job.
Hi there! Sorry for the short update, I just actually updated since my brain won't let me sleep if I don't write this.
