I felt something ticklish and I took that as a sign that I am not dead yet since I still feel the pain.

The cold temperature is seeping in my bruise and cuts so I opened my eyes. An orange-brown fox like dog is worriedly looking at me.

He is so wet and water is still pouring in his face, I looked at myself. I am wet and we are near the lake. They threw me off the lake to finally kill me.

The dog howled. Misery evident on him. I started to tear up. He saved me. I hugged the dog and I cried. My breathing is painful in the chest since I don't know my full diagnosis but i am sure I will die if it got worser.

"Th-ank-y-o-u Pep-si." I said to the dog in full gratitude. Pepsi is not my dog.

He's a street dog and he always follow me around. The biscuit that I bought yesterday was supposed to be for him but the incident happened.

The dog barked and I am now freezing, I tried to stand up alone but I fell on the pile of rocks.  It hurt a lot. Pepsi ran somewhere and came back with a stick. It's  ot sturdy enough so I shook my head. He ran again and brought another stick.

It was the right one. I took it and use it to support me in walking. I followed the river all the way up, because at the bank of it stood is a castle. Pepsi followed me and walk so alert.

This dog is so loyal to me even though I shoo him away most of times. Maybe because he knows that I am in pain and I am just denial, no matter how I shoo him I still find a way to feed him.

I flinch everytime I breathe, my stomach is aching in hunger, my head is throbbing and I feel dizzy and cold. We are nearing Monroe's hide out when I saw Joven-Monroe's righthand man a little far from me. He's smoking and his side is only facing me.

He knows me since he was often the one to come with me when I close deals. Pepsi must have noticed his smell so Pepsi barked.

He barked and barked until Joven finally decided to give us his attention. He looked at me for a good 5 second and his eyes widened he ran to me and carried me in bridal style.

"Who did you this?" Yeah did I also mentioned that Joven has a bad grammar? Well, his tongue is short so he can't pronounce well so his parents never sent him to school.

"The fcker." I described to him my corrupt and devil of a father. Joven is a good person, it's just that he is so full of himself and it's as if he carry a storm when he speak.

Pepsi followed Joven and I as he lead me to the small clinic of Monroe's mansion. The nurse started attending to me. I hanged my hand and Pepsi licked it. I scratch his head lightly for him to know I am okay.

The nurse injected IV at me and some sorts of medicine. She started wiping my body too until I felt sleepy so I did let the sandman drag me.

I woke up with my dry throat. I feel better now and I saw Monroe sleeping on the couch. I remain silent 'til Monroe moaned and woke up.

"Are you hungry?" He asked me. I nodded and he went to the fridge beside the couch. He handed me a mug with a ready-to-eat oatmeal.

I took it and started eating. My eyes roamed everywhere but I couldn't spot a malnurished dog.

"Where's Pepsi?" I ask him.

Myb heart pounded. What the hell? I know Monroe is allergic to furs so I started to feel scared of what he might have done to the dog.

"I think the nurse gave that dog a bath." He said reading my expression. My sense started to calm down.

Once I was done eating, I handed him the mug. The IV is already removed in my wrist. Maybe they already know that I am going to wake up today.
