From the Paris streets, you can hear the song "Sweater Weather"  blasting from a room in the Agreste Mansion, but not from Adrien's room, or Gabriel's. It is coming from a small door at the bottom of the stairs to the right where Adrien's twin sister, Eliza, is painting up a storm. With tears in her eyes, she's painting something while wearing all black, because her poor mother, Emilie Agreste, just passed.

"I don't know why you had to go, mom," she said between the sobs and the aggressive strokes of her paintbrush. "You seemed just fine, what happened?" As she stopped as she threw the paintbrush across the room and collapsed on the floor with heavy sobs. As she stepped back, she found a beautiful masterpiece of her mother with a halo and angel wings watching over her from above. "Why'd you go mom?" she squeaked.

A few hours passed when Her father, Gabriel Agreste, the famous fashion designer, came into her room with her twin brother Adrien Agreste. Eliza sat up on her bed and whipped off the runny mascara from crying.

"Eliza. You will be going to school." Her father told her sternly. Adrien perked up in excitement and curiosity, but Eliza looked disgusted and confused. In her mind, the school was a burden in her life and studies in art. Her mother always homeschooled her, but why is her father making her go now?

"No. I'm not. I don't want to. Just because Adrien goes to public school doesn't mean I want to." Eliza replied with an attitude.

"Excuse me young lady but under my roof, you will listen and do what I say." Her father snapped

"Dad. My mother just died. But she wasn't just my mother she was my teacher, best friend, and the ONE person in this house who listened to me except Adrien." Eliza said with another flow of tears forming in her eyes "She wasn't just YOUR wife." She snapped

"YOU ARE GOING TO SCHOOL AND THAT'S THAT," Gabriel yelled. "Nathalie will arrange your schedule and Adrien will show you the ins and outs this weekend. You will go on Monday." Her father added. He turned to exit, looked to the side where the painting was, sighed, and simply said "I'm sorry. I'll leave you alone."

As her father left, Adrien ran to Eliza who is sitting on the bed looking at her hands and twiddling her thumbs.

"Liza, you okay?" Adrien asked softly

"Adrien," Eliza started, "I haven't been in school since, forever. There are so many things that can go wrong. I don't want to go back."

"Liza. How bad could it be? It can't be as bad as you're thinking. In fact, it is not going to be bad at all whatsoever. In fact, I'll take you to see a few of my friends from school. Would you like that?" Adrien asked

"Adrien just because I'm 2 minutes younger than you doesn't mean you get to treat me like a baby. But yes, I would like it. And could you go get your yearbook? I want to see all my new classmates." Eliza shutters at that statement, "That feels so weird saying that."

"Yeah, I'll go grab my yearbook and Eliza? Everything is going to be fine." Her brother reassured her as he exited her room.

Eliza smiled when her brother said that. He reminded her of her mother so much, the eyes are the exact same. She saw a lot of her mother in her brother, from the kindness in his heart to his golden hair. Her mother was a very kind woman, she always had something nice to say, much like Adrien does. Suddenly Adrien opened the door with the yearbook as he said,

"Here it is! Oh, was I disturbing something? Did I ruin a creative breakthrough?" Adrien asked softly

"No, no it's fine I was just, thinking about mom," Eliza said as she gazed up at the painting.

Adrien gasped, "Holy Sugar Eliza, did you paint that??" He sounded astonished like he had never seen something as extravagant as this.

"Yeah, I painted it when we got home from the-the," Eliza stuttered to say the final word in her statement. She felt a warm feeling overcome her, Adrien was hugging her.

"Hey, It's okay. I know what you mean. She's not really gone, she's always going to be here. Like in the painting, she's always going to be looking over you." Adrien replied softly

"Adrien, is dad gonna be okay? I said some pretty hurtful things and his wife just passed, and it was so sudden too we don't even know what happened, and-" she paused for a moment "and we didn't even get to say goodbye." Eliza looked at her brother with tears in her eyes.

The two teens sat there with tears forming in both of their eyes, Adrien had never thought about how he never got to say goodbye to his mother. The more he thought about it the more he realized, he never got to thank her for convincing Gabriel to let him go to public school. It was the best thing to ever happen to Adrien, and he had his mother to thank.

"Well, I for one would LOVE one of those paintings." Adrien managed to get out between the sniffles and the tears.

Eliza laughed, "Oh sure let me just, Oh I can't I have to go to public school now. But I'll see when I can get free time from the master- I MEAN father." she laughed some more as she punched her brother in the arm playfully.

"Oh! That reminds me, The yearbook!" Adrien exclaimed

"Right! Who are my new classmates?" Eliza asked curiously.

"Well, That one is Marinette, she's one of the nicest friends I've ever had," Adrien swooned

"Oooh, a 'nice friend' Huh??" Eliza bantered

"Stop it, it's not like that! She's a very good friend." Adrien replied as he blushed.

"Yeah, okay. Tell that to the blush on your face." Eliza rolled her eyes "Who else?"

Adrien then went on and on about his friends and the people who went to school with him, Eliza is getting a little excited about going to a public school. She cannot wait to meet everybody in person, and maybe even make new friends.
