~Chapter 6~ Mid-day Madness

After class, Eliza, Adrien, Marinette, Alya, and Nino were all walking to lunch to get some food. Eliza is still adjusting to her day, but she's getting used to it and loves her day so far. Eliza and Adrien are on the lunchline waiting for their food

"So, Liza how are you doing here today?" Adrien asked

"It's actually going a lot better, I can see why you like coming here.." Eliza said as her voice drifted and looked at Marinette. "Do you like her?"

"Who?" Adrien asked confused

"Marinette you dummy. It's obvious she's into you, and you get all flustered when you talk about her." Eliza replied

Adrien had to think, did he? "I don't know, I've always seen Mari as a very good friend." He managed to get out between his thoughts. "Why do you ask?"

Eliza's heart stopped, she didn't know what to say. She didn't really know why she always blushed around Marinette or even that girl Alix, but she had to answer Adrien with something. "I was just curious.."

"Oh okay," Adrien replied. Just then a loud crash followed by the ground shaking caused everyone to be in panic. Adrien and Eliza fumbled to the ground and exchanged worried looks with each other. The twins both get up and ran over to their friends, Eliza could feel Adrien's arm hovering over her head, just in case some debris fall on her. As Eliza did a softball slide under the table to where Marinette, Alya, and Nino were hiding out.

"What the hell is happening?" Eliza exclaimed

"I don't know! It's like an earthquake mixed with someone attacking the school-" Alya gasped "OMG YOU THINK THERE ARE GOING TO BE SUPERHEROES?!?" She yelled shaking Nino's shirt collar back and forth.

"Calm down babe, It's probably an earthquake." Nino calmly replied taking his girlfriend's hands off his shirt

"And if it's not?" Marinette asked. She seemed scared as she looked around the circle her friends formed under the table. Just then a loud voice came onto the loudspeaker,

"*BEEP*Students. This is Mr. Damocles, the school principal. At this time we ask all students to evacuate the school and go straight home until this matter has been resolved. Thank you, and get home safely.*BEEP*"

Adrien stood up and yelled to the dozens of students in the cafeteria, "C'mon! We all have to evacuate the school safely. Be careful exiting." Adrien then looked at Marinette, "Mari I need you to help me."

Marinette knew what she had to do, she stood up and walked over to Adrien, "Please be careful." Marinette whispered as she gave Adrien a quick hug. He didn't know how to react and before he knew what had happened, Marinette was walking students out of the cafeteria. Eliza helped her brother keep the crowd calm in this situation as the five of them walked everybody out safely.

After everyone was out of the cafeteria, including Alya, Nino, and Marinette, Adrien and Eliza helped get the staff out of the room last.

"We need to do one final sweep of the room to make sure nobody else is in here!" Adrien yelled.

"On it!" Eliza replied

"No Liza let me do it!" Adrien said, "Eliza be careful!" Adrien ran after her because he would never forgive himself if something bad happened to his sister. "Eliza!" Adrien yelled. While running after his sister he heard coughing from the opposite direction " 'We need to do one final sweep of the room to make sure nobody else is in here!' " Adrien mocked his sister "Nice sweeping Eliza." Adrien ran to the man on the ground coughing up a storm under the table. "Sir are you okay? Sir?"

"Yes. I'm *cough* I'm okay. Tha- *cough cough* thank you. You are very kind." The man said. This man was older and seemed Chinese. He had a red Hawaiian shirt on, and beige khakis on with dark shoes. He was on the shorter side but regardless he needed help.

"Quick everybody this way!" A voice shouted. "Adrien? I thought you were by the door!" Eliza said emerging from the smoke helping a student walk and a few others following behind her.

"Doesn't matter where I was, let's get out of here!" Adrien remarked as he helped the short older man up. As the twins were running out of the school, they saw Marinette, Ayla, and Nino waiting for them outside. "Guys you didn't have to wait for us! It's not safe!" Adrien scolded his friends

"Careful Adrien, you're gonna turn into dad." Eliza mocked. "But seriously, we have to help this girl get home."

"Nino and I can do it!" Ayla volunteered as she went over to get the girl to help her get home.

"Dude, I think you need to go.." Nino said as he pointed to the silver car with Adrien's bodyguard running over to them.

"But I have to help this man get home!" Adrien whined

"That's okay, I live in that building over there," The man said as he pointed to where Marinette's Bakery was

"Oh, I live over there too! I'll walk you over there to make sure you get home safely." Marinette replied to the man.

"Why thank you, young lady... Very generous of you." The man said skeptically.

"Okay, it's settled then" Adrien replied, "Everyone texts me when you get home safely."

"Yeah so he doesn't worry about you guys all day" Eliza mocked

"Eliza, this is no time to joke, but we have to go. Stay safe guys!" Adrien said running to the car

"It was great meeting you all today! Thank you for everything!" Eliza announced running after Adrien to the car.

"Bye! Be safe Marinette, get home okay." Ayla stated

"Of course! Take care of her Nino. Bye!" Marinette said walking the old man in the direction of their building.

"Later Marinette!" Nino waved
