Couple of Besties

[The Executive Assistant]

Riele's POV-
It was almost the Spring Fling and I was the executive in-charge, I was basically in charge of the whole Spring Fling. If anything went wrong it was going to be my fault. The principal had assigned me a helper 3 days ago but they don't officially start until today and I could hardly wait to see who it was.

Mason had picked me up and we drove together to school and I was so excited that it was almost the Spring Fling. Like I literally could sit still in my seat, I had Mason laughing really hard.
Mason "Are you ok!"
Riele "Don't I look okay!?"
Mason "um..yeah!"
And he still kept laughing but I just ignored him.

We finally go to school and I gave Mason a hug and ran all the way to the office ready for the principal to announce to me who will be my assistant.

Jace's POV-
I was chosen to be the executive assistant but I had know idea what a assistant wears so I wore some overalls with a tie. I went to Ella to ask her what was  her opinion on my outfit and all she did was laugh in my face.
Ella "You look cute."
Jace "Then why are you laughing!?"
Ella "I'm laughing because you actually look cute in that outfit."
At least she thinks it cute that means it's a good fit.

I grabbed my sweater and walked to my car as Ella slowly followed behind me. She kept looking at me and smiling I kinda felt as if she lied about my outfit looking cute. Though I realized there was no turning back because we were already 2 mins away from the school.

We went in to the school and we went our separate ways I was going to the office and she was going to the counselor room. The principal had me wait in the back of his office until he announced my name to the executive in-charge but I had no patience. After waiting 5 mins, he finally announced my name.

Rieles's POV-
Me hearing the words "The person that's going to be your assistant is..drumroll please." Seriously I said looking at him with annoyed eyes.
Riele "Can you just tell me who it is!?"
Principal "Fine, you little party pooper. It's Jace!"
Riele "Like you mean Jace as in Jace Norman!?"
Principal "Yes. Is there a problem? Because if there is we can have another executive in-charge
Riele "No there's no problem."
Principal "Jace you may come out."

My heart was pounding I had to be working with Jace for the Spring Fling. I saw as Jace walked in he glanced at me. The principal looked at us both.
Principal "Well hurry and go. Y'all have lots of work to do.
I was speed walking to the gym and Jace was following behind me.
Jace "Can we not be like this?"
Riele "Be like what?"
Jace "Like this!"
Riele "Let's not forget you broke my heart!"
Jace "We can at least cut each other some slack since we're working together."
Riele "We're not working together your working for me!"
I continued to walk until I reached the gym.

Jace kept looking at me, I knew that because I could literally feel his eyes deep into my soul burning through me. I got up and walked in front of him.
Riele "Can you go re hang up those banners?"
Jace "um..why?"
Riele "Just go do it, and don't ever question me!"
Jace "ok, ok sorry."
I watched as he walked there and did exactly what I said but I kinda felt bad so I tried to start a conversation.
Riele "Who told you that outfit was cute!"
Jace "Ella?"
Riele "Jace, she lied to you!"
And I started to laugh and he smiled at me.

Jace's POV-
It was nice seeing Riele smile, she might still be mad at me but at least she's giving me chance and that's all I wanted. We were working and working for hours and the last thing left was to hang up the balloons.
Riele "Can you come hold the ladder so I can climb up and hang all these balloons!?"
Jace "Sure!"
I ran towards the ladder and held it with the my two hands.

Riele's POV-
I was on top of the ladder hanging the balloons and I miss stepped and fell but Jace had caught me and we made eye contact, my heart started to beat rapidly.
Riele "Drop me!"
Jace "Fine."
He dropped me on the very hard wooden floor.
Riele "I think it's time to go.
Jace "ok imma see you tomorrow, right?"
Riele "Yeah."

It felt awkward looking in to Jace big, beautiful, brown eyes, because all I could think of was how it all started. My heart was everywhere until I heard someone screaming my name and I ran out of the gym and it was Mason I jumped right into his arms.
Mason "Are you ok?"
Riele "Just hold me!"

And he did exactly what I said he held me until he got to my house.
Mason "You can go, Riele."
I looked at him and I said "Wait." And I passionately kissed him and he kissed back and then I pulled away
Riele "Sorry."
And I ran out of his car and ran inside my house and locked the door. These sudden thoughts ran through my head, kissing Mason only just made me think of Jace even more, but how is this possible.

Mason's POV-
Did Riele just kiss me is all I thought. My heart was running in circles but why did she say sorry for it.
Was she embarrassed or did she not like kissing me.
