I walked around the dark-tinted forest, my head wandering about as I scanned my surroundings. The sky was filled to the brim with little, bright specks. Seven always thought that you could make a wish to a shooting star that came by.
I smiled, shivering from the cold. I wish he was here right now. Maybe he was busy playing with the others. One star shooted by, sparks following behind it. It seemed almost magical how it looked in the sky.
The chirping continued in the background, trees rustling. The wind brushed through my silky hair as I fumbled with my hands. I waited and waited. Nothing kept happening. I picked up a photo from my pocket, staring at it. It was an image of Seven.
'I wish for Seven to be here,' I thought. Still, I kept on waiting. Maybe he would show up... soon. I looked up at the sky. I heard some rustling behind me. A hand sat on my shoulder as I glanced behind me.
"S-Seven?" I questioned, my voice trembling. Seven's expression lightened up as he sat beside me. "Hey, Y/N!" He spoke in his usual enthusiastic voice. I'm surprised that he doesn't act the same way around me as he does with everybody else. Normally, he was this bored, angsty-sounding number.
Was I that special to him? Was I really that much to change his personality?
It didn't matter. I began to swirl my fingers around his, interlocking my hand with Seven. I smiled at him, cuddling my face on his chest.
"Y/N?" He asked, blinking at me. I think he was worried, I kind of looked bloodshot. "It's really nothing! I was just feeling kind of lonely earlier..." I replied, wiping my eyes from tears.
Seven looked a little bit distressed as I was looking kind of dead inside. "Are you sure you're okay though?" He cooed, leaning on my body. He began to snuggle his face in my hair. Silence surrounded our bodies as we continued being quiet.
My face turned hotter as I locked eyes with him. "So, Seven? Is the tale about shooting stars really true?" He nodded carefully, sitting upright again.
"Yep, I've known it was true since I was little." Seven began to close his eyes, stroking my shoulder. My nose began to cool off, a shiver being sent up my spine. "Mystical... is it just me or is it cold here?"
"It's mostly you," Seven remarked, his expression smug. I nudged him with my arm, "Hey, I wasn't the one who yowled when a small person kicked me! Hahaha!" I teased at him. His expression was scowling. "Well! Well... I- I'm out of words!"
His face was extremely flustered. "Hey, Y/N! Here comes another star, make a wish!"
I flashed back to the sky, the comet zooming past. It was surprisingly loud when hearing it. It was like a sound effect in a movie theatre.
"I made my wish, Seven."
"What was it?"
"I can't tell you, you big dork! That ruins the magic! Hehehe!" He began to nod and he looked at me. "I guess that's understandable, Y/N," He said, digging his foot into the ground.
"Is something bothering you, Seven?" I asked profusely, another chill rumbling up my spine. "I'm getting kind of cold too... do you want to go inside and drink some hot chocolate with me?"
My eyes lighted up as he said that. "Sure! Plus... I kind of wanted to cuddle in bed with you." His expression changed to slight concern. "Not that kind of cuddling! Just some wholesome hang out with my favorite number!"
He grinned as I finished talking. "Yeah, hehe."
I got up and lifted Seven, he was as light as a feather to me. "Are you going to walk? Or..."
