It's hard to believe that only weeks ago, I was in Miami, living a decently normal life. I was beginning to let myself move on, I had to come to terms with the situation, I was in control, I just need to remember it.

I was currently in the shower, washing my hair. I needed to do something about it. It was messy, and damaged. Lauren was still asleep, I didn't want to wake her up after last night, it was good that she was sleeping better. I turned off the water and grabbed a towel, I looked in the mirror and sighed.

I hadn't left the Rehab center since I went to the mall, I was practically a resident... No one ever said anything about me, I didn't complain, I liked it here, everyone was nice, and it felt like people cared.

My hair was down to the middle of my back, and you could see about an inch of dark brown roots, I heard a ding, and looked at my phone, it was from Kehlani

Kehlani:

Ash:
Trying to figure out what to do with my hair, do you have scissors? or anything I could use to shave my head? I've got an idea

Kehlani:
I don't have them, but I know someone who does, can you be in my room in 5?

Ash:
Yup, on my way

I put my phone down, and quietly walked out of the bathroom, I grabbed a hoodie, and slipped out of the room as quietly as possible. When I got to Lani's room, the bathroom door was open, and I could hear her singing

she chuckled, and sat down an object on the sink.

"You really are in love with me aren't you..." I said, leaning against the bathroom door frame, trying to do my best impression of Demi

"I- I." She stuttered before turning around, and realizing it was only me.

"Fuck you." she said smiling and shaking her head "Revenge is best served cold, better watch out..." She said pointing at me.

I just laughed.

I had gone on a walk with Lani yesterday, and she had told me that she was in love with Demi, I talked to Lauren about it too, Demi doesn't bring it up, but it's obvious the way they act around each other that they feel the same.

there was a chair in front of the mirror, there was a pair of scissors, and something that looked like it could shave my hair, (i can't think of the name of that tool. fuck, i'm dumb) I sat down, and Kehlnai walked behind my chair

"What do you have planned for this." She said, starting to braid my hair.

I pulled up a picture, and Lani smiled.

"I think you're look amazing!" She said,

"Thanks." I smiled "Now, I hope I don't fuck it up..."

It took me 30 minutes (and a little help from Kehlani) to get everything right. She was right, it looked amazing...

I thanked her, and I went back to Lauren's room, I didn't tell her that I was going to cut my hair, but she knew I wanted too. I didn't know if she'd like it or not.

I opened the door, and saw her on her phone, it seemed as if she had just woken up. She looked up at me and her eyes got wide.

"tha- wow." She said, a grin growing on he face "that looks amazing Ash!"

She slowly got up, hugged me, and dragged me to the bed.

"I missed you this morning." she said snuggling into my body

"I'm sorry baby." I said "I had to do something about this hair."

"Have you checked SoundCloud lately?" She asked looking up at me.

I had completely forgotten that we had put out music of mine.

"no, I haven't." I said honestly

Lo handed me her phone.

"You wan't me to check?" I asked

"Mm Hmm" She mumbled.

I signed in, and waited for it to load, I about choked when I saw everything...

I had over 2,000 followers... 2,400 comments, and 1,112 re-posts...

I heard a notification go off, and I saw that Astralwerks had sent me something

there was a phone number at the bottom of the page. I was confused, I was being recruited by other people? I looked at all the other notifications, Jeremy was right! I had more offers. Lo had fallen asleep, so I continued to look at the offers. I was shocked that people would care enough to listen to something I wrote.

After a while, I untangled myself from Lauren, and walked out into the hall and to the big metal doors, and once I was let out, I walked onto an empty balcony, and called the number.

I dialed, and he picked up on the 4th ring

"Hello? This is Jeremy."

"Hi Jeremy, This is Halsey, I was wondering what information you could give me about signing..."

I'm sorry it's a short chapter, I'm having major writers block, and it's 3am here.
