I jolted awake, and looked around.
I was on a helicopter, strapped onto a bed. I was surrounded by people, none of which I knew. I panicked tried to kick my legs, but I stopped when I felt a shooting pain go through me. I looked up at a doctor, who smiled at me, it calmed me down.
"Where am I?" I asked groggily.
"You're on the way to a rehab center in California." He responded
"Oh..." I said remembering what had just happened.
I looked around and noticed an IV in my arm, it was giving me blood, I had a bandage wrapped around my my thigh, and there was a faint reddish color on it.
I heard my phone ding, and saw a text from Ash.
I know you don't want to talk to me, but please call Taylor, she had been crying and thinks that she's the reason you wanted to leave.- Ash
I was being an ass, I didn't want to talk to Ash, it was dumb. I called Taylor and she picked up almost instantly.
"Hello? Lauren?" Taylor said sadly say
"Hi Tay." I said, I could tell that she was crying.
Taylor started to cry harder "I miss you so m-much Lauren."
"I miss you too." I said softly
"Is it my fault?" Taylor Asked, her voice cracking
"Oh god no, Taylor, "I said trying to comfort her "I wanted to try for you, but it's just so hard...I love you so much, do you hear me."
I wanted her to know how much I really did love her, sure I was tough at times, but she was my favorite family member.
"I love you too." Taylor replied. "We're the airport, we're all coming to see you."
"All?" I asked, hoping that Ash was with them.
"Yeah, Ashley's here with mom, and dad."
Lauren paused, she didn't know that I could hear her,
"C-can you tell her that i'm sorry for being an ass, Please?"
"Sure?" Taylor said questioningly
"I haven't been returning her texts, I- I- can I talk to her?" I asked
"Sure." She said, I heard movement.
"Lo?" She asked hesitantly.
"Ash." I said, slowly "Am I still your baby?" I was getting odd glares from the other people
"If you want to be, because I would love it if you were." She said, I could hear her voice trembling
"I really miss you" I said sighing, I was relieved
"I miss you too, How are adapting?"
"i'm doin Ok, I-, fuck, did he do anything to you?" I blurted out, I didn't know how long she was in the room with him.
"No." she said, trying her best to sound convincing, I knew better than that. She was lying, I could tell...
"I know you too well, you're lying, what did he do to you. He didn't fuck you or anything right?" I said biting my lip.
