Lauren:
"You're in love with her aren't you?"
I was silent...
"Unbelievable." she said, as she headed for the door.
"Ash, wait!" I whispered
"I lost my job for you, I have given up SO much for you, but it wasn't enough was it?"
"I'm sorry, Ash..."
"Save it Jauregui." she said coldly, as she walked out of the room.
it was the last exchange we had, and it haunted me.
I had just let the perfect girl walk out the door, if my life couldn't get any worse.
"Hey Lauren." I heard Dinah's soft voice, and I felt her hands on my shoulder.
"Hey D." I responded sadly
"I-I'm sorry about what I said."
"It's fine Lauren." She paused "She's out of surgery you know..."
My head shot up
"Camila?"
Dinah nodded.
"C-c-can I see her?"
"Not today, visiting hours are over."
I nodded, and walked out of the room with Dinah.
About halfway to my friends, there was a sudden, shooting pain, that went through my thigh. I chose to ignore it, because my problems didn't matter compared to Camila's
I met up with the other girls who gave me hugs, and asked if I was okay
I said I was
But that's a lie...
We were brought back to reality by a nurse who had a blue ferry boat scrub cap. the name on her coat said Zola Shepherd.
"Miss brooke, Miss Kordei, Miss Jauregui, Miss-?"
"Hansen" Dinah answered.
"Hansen." Dr. Shepherd continued. "Camila is in the ICU, she is stable, but weak. She lost a lot of blood."
Ally gulped.
"We were able to successfully deliver the baby, however, she was without oxygen for longer than I would've liked. She's in the NICU now."
Normani and Dinah sighed
"I'm afraid that the lack of oxygen that the baby may have had, will have a neurological effect." She looked at all of us "But, She's stronger than she looks. Early as she may be, it looks like there are no physical effects due to the lack of oxygen." She smiled "We'll keep an extremely close eye on them both, and I'll update you of anything changes." Dr. Shepherd nodded and started to walk away.
"D-Dr. Shepherd?" I asked
She turned around,
"W-w-what's her name? The baby?"
Dr. Shepherd smiled.
"Sara." she replied.
Sara Cabello
It was a beautiful name...
"C'mon Lo," Ally begged, snapping me out of my trance "It's time to go home."
