"An hour from now and we'll land to Amsterdam, Lady Z. It's my first time to The Netherlands and I am very excited to see the sea of tulips." she said even giggling as she was already dreaming while I was still resting my head and closed eyes sighing
"Don't be too excited Merriel. We'll just have some business here and we'll go back to the company."
"But Director Finn asked you to have a vacation."
"And I didn't agree."
"Right."i heard her sigh "But what's this sudden business you are talking about boss? I didn't know the details of this one." I open my eyes and look at the window. That's when I saw the sea of clouds that I loved.
"A personal one." I whisper as I remember the call I received yesterday
FLASH BACK
"These are the contracts that needs your reviews and papers for your signature, Madam."
"Leave it there." as I continue to type some words to my keyboard without breaking my sight to the screen "I'll review all of that later."
"And you have a board meeting about the the business proposal of AMV later at 3." I nodded "Lastly, there is a certain call overseas. A certain Atty. Van Herren ask for you but just as you order, no disturbance." That's what caught my attention and face my secretary, Merriel as the phone rang again "Oh, the phone. Excuse me Madam." as she exited my office I followed her when she answer the phone and from her expression she's irritated. There's a force that made me walked towards the door and call her
"Merriel."
"Yes Madam?" she answered while holding the phone still in line
"Who's calling?"
"The Attorney I talked about earlier madam. He's persistent to have your personal number."
"Give it to him." I said as I move back to my chair and sit. I leaned to my chair and looked at Merriel. She's not at the phone anymore looking at me animatedly. I just looked at my phone in my desk waiting for it to ring.
Atty. Jace Van Herren - is the attorney of the Westenburg Family. A very prominent and powerful family in Netherlands. What does he wants?
And as I am in my thoughts, my phone rang for a phone call. I picked it up and saw the number on the screed with international phone call.
"Good evening Lady Westenburg. I am Jace Van Herren, your grandfather's lawyer. Can I have some of your time Lady?"
" I'm listening" I answered coldly and heard him sighed
"The don is ill and bedridden." he started and make me rolled my eyes
"That's not my doing if you'll accuse me."
"Lady Zafeiri, the don wants to meet all of his grandchildren before he's time."
"For all I remember, I am not one of his grandchild anymore. So don't bother to call me again."
"Please... the don wants to see you Lady Zafeiri."
"I am not going and don't try to call me anymore." then I ended the call. A few more second and he called again. But I ignored it and resume to my work. I was again focused on my work that needs to be done.
I know it was almost dark when someone brag at my office with Merriel.
"I'm sorry Madam but he said he wants to see a woman named Theia Westenburg. I said to him I didn't know that name and now here he is inside your office." I looked at them. A tall man in a suite and tie in dark expensive garments. I just lean up and look at him coldly for I didn't know who the hell is he.
"Theia Zafeiri Van Westenburg?"he also said coldly but why is my heart beat faster that usual when I heard him name. "I am here to fetch you under my godfather's wish Don Jace Van Herren."
I saw Merriel stunned when she heard his cold chilling voice. That's why I shoo her "Leave us." she slowly move and walked away before I lean again and place my one hand in the table.
"I talked to him already saying I'm not going anywhere." I said while picking the folders I need to review. But I saw his brood hands in my desk that's why I looked up and saw his face that made me stun for a second while looking at his cold gray eyes looking at me directly.
"No, seniogrina. You are coming with me.." he said coldly "Your grandfather wants to see you before he dies. How hard it is to fullfil your grandfather's wish? "
It made my brow up, he speaks like he knew something but not everything that's why I also stared him coldly. "I was aware that he is dying which makes me roll over the carpet for happiness but I can't make time for his death wish because thousands of people are below me."
"A thousand people over your dying grandfather huh? Guess rumors circulating are correct... You are as heartless as an object."
"Yeah. I am heartless. So can you leave now because I need to work."
"You can't do that to the old man. He needs you."
"I'm busy. Please show yourself out Mister."
"Theia."
I immediately glared at him when I heard my name to her and gritted "Don't called me by that name again."
"You will come with me in Netherlands."
"No... and that's my final answer. He can die whenever he wants when his grandchildren are there."
"But you are also his ---"
"Leave Mister before I call the security."
"I didn't know you're these heartless." I just didn't mind him and his words until he decide to walk out and slam my door very hard that hade my head hurts.
END OF FLASH BACK
And the reason why I decided to fly to the Netherlands is because of the newspaper that is delivered to me earlier this morning with a "hope you change your mind with this. ~ DN" written in a piece of paper.
