I sighed and look at my back "Are you really going to follow me? I'll talk to him alon---" I was cut off when he reach the door knock two quick times and open it, leading me inside the warm cozy grand room.
"Schat." Means sweetheart that my grandfather calls me when I was young. And that's the first time I saw him smile again in so many years. "Come here Zafeiri, schat." But I didn't move an inch as I keep looking to him in his eyes. That's when I saw sadness in it "Come Schat, sit beside me." I was not planning to move when I felt a warm breath in my ears
"Sit here voluntarily or I'll carry you by myself Theia." and slightly push me and I don't have any choice but to sit beside him at his bed. He reached my hand and I felt the warmth of him "I'll wait outside." I heard him say that make me immediately look at him, and I don't know why I am looking at him
"You can stay here Dark. You're like a grandson to me. And I think Zafeiri"we looked at each other and I saw opa smiling "needs you here, right schat?"
"I-I. Leave."I say to Dark. He tilt his head and looked at me for some seconds but bow his head to my grandfather and leave silently.
"He didn't need to."
"Guess you are fine now... You're already picking a fight." I said and roll my eyes that made him laugh
"Feisty woman. Reminds me of your mom." I don't know what to say so I stayed quiet. We kept silent for few minutes and I sighed
"Why did you want me to come back old man? After all this years?"
"I... I need you here." He said in a low voice "The empire need the heiress, schat."
"You're not dying yet right? And for what I know, I am not a heiress anymore."
"I know you can't forgive me for what happened but please let me explain Zafeiri."
"That explanation was long overdue. I wanted it years before but not now."
"Schat."
"Just cut the bullshits out and proceed to the main point."
"I need you here Zafeiri. Can you stay? I'll make sure to arrange everything for you and make it go smoothly. I just need my schat back."
"If you want me to take over the empire, I need time for things I need to do to Tate. But if you want your schat back? I don't think she's still alive." I said coldly. I maybe heartless, but I was hurt for years that can't easily wiped away.
"I... I understand. I will talk to Dark to arrange everything for you."
"I will call your doctor for checked up." I stood up. "And I'll leave immediately after I talk to your doctor." He just nod as he looked at his window. "I'll leave now. I'll bring your food later." I walked and open the door, look at him again and leave the room but before I can, I heard him
"I wish I can turn back the time and think more of sending you out the house." that's why I looked back and saw him smile but his eyes where so sad that made me stunned for a second.
"Boss!"That's when I heard Merriel shouting for me "Emergency." and I am unable to look at my grandfather again which I regretted the next day because my grandfather...
