"A-ahem." he fake cough but I didn't mind him and the ma grunting in pain for I elbowed him for pulling me to his on his lap and seat straight next to him. "May I know who you are beauti--- I mean Miss?"
"I- i'm uh..." I am not really fond of giving my family name so I didn't know what name I will be using. That's when I felt something warm around my waist so I immediately look at it and it's an arm. That's why I looked back and to my surprise his face were centimeters of mine.
"She's the old man's heir. You ca tell her what she needs to know." the our eyes met that make me look front.
"Ooooh so the long wait is over huh?" I am not catching up what he's saying and he's not like talking to be because he is looking at my back then smirk and stretched his hands "Anyway, I am Jacob Atkinston. I am originally the Duke's attending doctor but the Duke doesn't seem to need a doctor. He doesn't catch any illness."
"Zafeiri."that's the only words I said and shake hands to him but he immediate released my hand that make my brow raise to him but he just smile. Then became serious
"Well I am now the Don's, your grandfather's doctor for now."
"Why?" I asked. "What happened to Westenburg's family doctor?" Before he answer me, he again looked at my back
"I'll explain later..."I felt his warm breath to my ears "For no focus on what he will say."
"Ah yes, The don had a slight attack awhile ago. Maybe because he's too happy a nd excited to see you and boom, his heart snap... a little." Is he really a doctor? "Miss, I suggest to have some low and relax talk to the don. He got an attack that is not really meant to happen few days ago and he is still recovering. Give him some slacks to that because if he will get stressed again, it can trigger to severe hear failure."
"Then why not brig him to the hospital?" he shook his head to my suggestion
"The old man don't want to leave the manor. We even bait him with sexy and seductive nurses but then he refuse."
"Of course he'll refuse, Westenburg may be known for being ruthless royals but bot by having different relationships." I said coldly. Guess that was the only thing that my family is best than any other royal who have different concubines in their house.
"Y-yeah. And good thing you are here. I'm sure Dark here will explain you what happen to the don few months ago. He'll fill you up." why does I think he is saying it in double meaning "Well, I need to go. I'll just return tomorrow for his blood results." he said while standing "Guess you'll be staying in the country bud." he's talking to the man beside me, towering us "Should I inform the gang that you'll be taking some off in the society?"
"I don't want any disturbance." when he answered his friend, Jacob laughed and look at me "It's good to finally see you Miss Westenburg. I heard a lot about you Madam. And I look forward in knowing you more." with his friendly smile, I can sense a playful voice that made my brow up and made him laugh the I felt the arm around my waist hold tighter that made me looked back and tell him it hurts but back down because his eyes. Its too dark and cold
"Go Atkinston before I put holes on your body." the poor guy immediately run outside as he wave his goodbye. A few minutes of silence when I let his grip loose but not letting me go
"Where should I start?"
I looked back and saw him leaning to the chair while his head is resting back and eyes close. That's when I have few seconds to study his face, and he looked tired.
"Why not rest first? Your friend assure us that opa is now stable. We can talk after you woke up later." I don't know but I used my soft and normal voice to him. That's when he open his eyes and caught me looking at him
"Is that fine with you? I just landed from the other side of the world. I want to sleep." he looked directly to my eyes and I was hypnotized that made me nod. And was astound when he smile and gently kiss my forehead then stand up and pull me up "Let's go to your opa's room and check him." My body stiffened when I remembered the scene at the dining room
"I-I'll check him later." then I felt a squeeze on my hand
"It's alright... Jacob says, it's just a slight attack and not that grave. We'll talk about that later but let's see and check his condition first, Theia." I looked up to him. He caressed my cheeks gentle, a familiar touch with a familiar eyes. "You have me... I'll be with you so don't worry." he said "Don't if the don is awake by now I'm sure he will be glad to see you... Come on." and pulled me again
"You should introduce yourself to me first before pulling me." I heard him chuckled
"Cara, I've been pulling you for awhile and now you are saying that?"
"Because you appeared out of no where and control everything."
"I always control the things that you can't when you are preoccupied. Always." then kiss my forehead again and pull me to the east wing.
A moment of silence and maids bowing to us as we walk to the east wing were my grandfather's chamber is at.
"You're very familiar to the manor." I said out of nowhere
"I was always called by the out man."
"He must loved you."
"Really? Guess being shot multiple times by the don is showing his love huh." I stopped that's why he stopped to and look at me.
"He shot you?"
"W-well... It's my fault for not making an eye to my woman so..."when I heard him, I immediately remove his hand to mine. "Theia."
"I'll check my grand father later." and walked out.
"Theia come back here!" As if! He already have a woman. Why is she acting too clingy to me? "Theia! Cara!" but I just walk as fast as I can and went up to my room then change clothes.
I need to calm me nerves or I'll snap that man's neck. The thing I hated the most is when people were flirts. And I nearly snapped when I heard him say he has a woman.
"B-boss, where are you going?"
"Have some steam off."
"I-i'm coming wi---" I saw her flinched when I looked at her but didn't mind.
"Stay here. Call me when something happen. And check my grandfather. Tell Zero I ordered you." she just nodded while looking down. I puffed some air and pat her head "I need some time alone Merry. I need some race."
"But racing is dangerous when you're mad." she speaks lowly with worry on her voice
"I'll be fine. Just call me when something happened here."
Then I get down to the garage and look for a good car for what I will do.
