Hi everyone, sorry that it has taken a while to upload a chapter.
I go through different moods, where I want to write a chapter for certain books, and my mood for a while has been The Hobbit or The Lord of The Rings.
So without further ado...
Chapter six ^ ~ ^Gandalf opens the front door. There, standing on the doorstep is the noble-looking Thorin Oakenshield.
"Gandalf, I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice." Thorin then walks into Bilbo's home. "I wouldn't have found it at all had it not been for that mark on the door." He says taking off his cloak.
Gandalf shuts the door behind Thorin. Just as Bilbo pushes through the crowd, entering the hall.
"Mark? There's no mark on that door, it was painted a week ago!" Bilbo exclaims confusedly.
"There is a mark, I've put it there myself." Gandalf says causing Bilbo to look at him in shock as Gandalf takes a short pause. "Bilbo Baggins, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield." Gandalf says making Bilbo look at Thorin.
Thorin steps towards Bilbo after handing his fur coat to his nephew Kili, without even looking. There is stark judgement in his eyes.
"So, this is the Hobbit. Tell me, Mr. Baggins, have you done much fighting?" Thorin questions starting to circle the Hobbit.
"Pardon me?" Bilbo is startled by the question.
"Axe or sword? What's your weapon of choice?" Thorin asks again ignoring Bilbo as he continues to circle Bilbo before stopping in front of him.
"Well, I do have some skill at conkers, if you must know." Bilbo starts proudly before seeing the look on Thorin's face. "But I fail to see why that's relevant." He ends meekly.
"I thought as much. He looks more like a grocer than a burglar." Thorin states causing the Dwarves to laugh at Thorin's jest.
Giving his kin a warm smile he walks to the dining room, the others following behind as Gandalf and Bilbo both stood at the front door.
'What has Gandalf gotten me into Rowena.' Bilbo thought worriedly.

The Dwarves sit around the table with Thorin, who picks at some soup. Gandalf sits beside him, smoking a pipe. Bilbo watches from the doorway, behind Gandalf.
"What news from the meeting in Ered Luin? Did they all come?" Balin asks after a while.
"Aye. Envoys from all seven kingdoms." Thorin nods as he eats his soup, which causes the Dwarves to murmur in excitement.
"And what did the Dwarves of the Iron Hills say?" Dwalin speaks up, causing the others to quieten down. "Is Dain with us?" Dwalin questions.
Thorin sighs deeply, a frown on his face. "They will not come." The Dwarves all sigh and murmur to each other about their disappointment. "They say this quest is ours and ours alone." He then takes a sip of his ale.
"You're going on a quest?" Bilbo spoke up for the first time since Thorin entered the dining room, looking confused.
"Bilbo, my dear fellow, let us have a little more light." Gandalf says that just as Bilbo started to leave, Gandalf pulls out a map from his robes.
