I'm sorry for those of you that have been waiting patiently for an update of this book for so long.
I don't really have the movies but soon I will and then I can do more updates of this book. Because I really do want to finish this and get that sense of pride of finally finishing it.Even though it might take me a long time, since I'm going off the extended version of the movie on YouTube as well as some movie scripts I have found + finishing my other books as well.
Anyways enough of this A/Ns and lets get on with this chapter.
It's now night time. In Bag End, Bilbo is preparing dinner while he awaits for Rowena to return home, dressed in his night time robes. As Bilbo waits for the two fish to finish frying on the pan, he couldn't help but to glance constantly at the hallway expecting Rowena to announce that she was home.
As he places the fish on both plates and puts them both on the table, he finally sits down with a sigh as he tucks a napkin into his collar and begins seasoning his meal.
Unbeknownst to Bilbo, the rune on the door that Gandalf placed before he left glimmers in the night. The shadow of a person spreads over the door, this person was a Dwarf.
Bilbo, in the middle of squeezing lemon juice on his fish, looks up in surprise as the doorbell rings. He opens his front door and finds a bald, muscular dwarf on his doorstep.
"Dwalin, at your service." The Dwarf greets Bilbo with a slight bow.
Bilbo lets out a confused whimper. Coming to his senses, he quickly ties his robe together and stands taller, but the confused look on his face still remains.
"Hm. Uh... Bilbo Baggins... at yours." Dwalin steps inside without invitation. "Sorry, do we know each other?" Bilbo asked confused.
"No." Dwalin said as he looked around. "Which way, laddie? Is it down here?" Dwalin said as he took a step further into the house.
"Is... is what down where?" Bilbo asked confused.
Dwalin takes off his coat and throws it to Bilbo. The poor Hobbit barely manages to catch the thing.
"Supper." Dwalin said as if it was the most obvious thing in Middle-Earth. "He said there'd be food and lots of it." The Dwarf strides down the hallway, as if it were his own.
"He... he said? Who said?" Bilbo stares after Dwalin, bewildered as Dwalin enters the kitchen and sits down helping himself to Bilbo's untouched dinner.
By the time Bilbo made it to the dining table, he saw that Dwalin was sitting in his spot, just getting done scarfing down his dinner. Bilbo watches Dwalin start to eat Rowena's portion with disgust.
Dwalin scarfs down all the flesh off from the fish. He drops the bone onto the plate still chewing as he says. "Very good, this. Any more?"
"What? Uh... oh... uh yes, yes." Bilbo at first was confused but then he spots the plate of scones that is next to him.
Bilbo brings Dwalin the plate of scones, sneaking a few into his robes pockets for himself and for when Rowena gets home.
"Help yourself." Bilbo said holding the plate in front of Dwalin and Dwalin did just as Bilbo said.
Dwalin started stuffing his mouth with the scones causing a slight disgust face to appear on Bilbo's face.
"Hmm. It's just that, um... I wasn't expecting company." Bilbo was cut off when the doorbell rings for the second time that night. Bilbo looks up in alarm.
