Chapter 12 - Pay the price.

Y/N went home, confused and with an aching head. She'd seen things nobody would believe from her - well, only Klaus and Ben could see her to begin with.

She knew they'd call her crazy, maybe Klaus would transfer her to rehab.

That one was a bit silly.
She's a ghost afterall.

She crossed the street, too tired to care for the cars driving through her, and entered the house thorough the front door.

The calls of her siblings arguing again in the entrance and living room echoed throughout the house, recognizable to her through 3 rooms down ("why are they so loud?", she complained to herself), except for two others - strange and unfamiliar, male and female, shouting...screaming.

She rushed in, taking in the scene - Diego, Allison, Luther were all after the pair - hitting and scratching wherever possible.

Y/N gulped, worried and upset that's be couldn't help them but mainly scared.

She ran into the living room, witnessing the entire fight though they couldn't see her.

She had to rely on the powers she hadn't tested since she died. Could Ben still use his? If so, where was he?

Y/N thought back to the ball in the closed building. What if it showed what would happen today? With Ben crublimng like that and then him nowhere to be seen now, it was suspicious. But she then realised that there was no way Klaus would have grown a long beard in such a short ammount of time - and Allison definitely wouldn't have gotten married any time soon.

Shrugging it off, she tried her hardest to summon her powers, wherever they could've gone to.

But then she remembered the horrible incident in Russia. How she was useless to everyone. How she was never going to be helpful again. How she got in her fathers way and that she was a burden to her siblings.

She felt a large weight on her shoulders and a lump in her throat. The sensation of a ball in her hand, tingling and rubbing against her palm made her unnerved.

Surely it was just her imagination.
Besides, it wouldn't happen - whatever it was.

She wanted to help but she couldn't, so instead she decided to lay down on the sofa and take in the scene - now knowing she could never be harmed by them and the worst they could do was bring her in to an argument.

The ceiling never looked more interesting to y/n.

Exhilarated from her endeavour to the 'Closed For Renovation' building, she fell asleep - unaware of the weight forcing her into a posture that wouldn't do her ghost self any good.

The feeling of a ball in her palm.
