Chapter 6 - Accidentally in love

I smiled as I looked through the window, looking at raindrops falling from the sky.
I saw Ben walking back with Allison, splattered in dry blood and water.

I ran to the front door, a towel in hand and greeted them both.
"Hi! How'd your mission go?" I asked.
"Number 8," My father shouted."Give them some space."
"Yes father." I muttered, my shoulders shrinking and my smile dying down.

He took the two to his office, Grace walking up to me to apologise for him.
"I thought what you did was lovely dear." She smiled back at me, grabbing my hand and taking me to the kitchen.

She brought freshly baked cookies to the table, waiting for the others to come as she shouted their names.

She walked to the fridge to bring us all glasses of milk while the children flooded in, taking seats around the small table.

I looked around, Klaus and Ben sitting by my side.
She placed down our glasses and looked at us.
"Well, eat up."She laughed.

My hand brushed along the kitchen table as Klaus poured himself a glass of vodka.
"You know, you two make a great couple."
My face went bright red.
"We- we aren't dating." I stuttered, watching as Ben walked down the stairs towards us.
"Aren't we?" He laughed, wrapping his arms around me and embracing me in a hug.
He pecked my forehead and pushed my head under his chin.

"Oh. My. Gosh you are so cute." He squealed.
He fanned his hands around his face and jumped up and down.

Vanya ran down the stairs.
"I heard screaming." She looked around to see Klaus, who looked like a little kid.

"Y/N and Ben just kissed!" He called, drinking from his glass.

I looked at him, my face back to being bright red. Before I could speak, Ben pulled my face back and lifted it up so our noses were touching.

"Ben what are you doing?" I laughed nervously.

He pushed his lips against mine, forcing me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck, smiling as I pulled away.

Klaus winked at him, as though congratulating him. He directed his head up the stairs, where Ben picked me up and walked to.

"Ben-" I started.
"Shh." He smiled.

He placed me down on his bed, after walking up several sets of stairs. He chuckled as I started to blush.

"Calm down, Y/N." He said, grabbing a book off of bookshelf in his room.

He handed it me, laughing at my surprised expression.
"Why?" I flipped the book over in my hands, inspecting it before opening it up.

"I know you like books, right? Well, keep that - the special edition of Twilight - and just pretend we-" I cut him off.

"Okay, I see what's going on here. You want me to pretend that happened, but it really didn't?" I laughed, sitting up.

"Unless-" He started.

"No, I don't think so Ben." I stared at him, giving him a look that a mother would give her child if it were misbehaving.

I grabbed his hand, standing up and kissing his cheek. I went to walk out when he pulled me away from the door.
"Just read for a minute, Klaus will think somethings up if you go downstairs now." He said, grabbing a book of his own and began to read.

A few minutes went by, and I started talking again.
"Can't I just go downstairs now, it's been, like, ten minutes." I groaned, closing my book.

"Just one last thing." He said grabbing me by the arm and taking me to his bedside table.

He took our a marker from when he doodled as a kid, drawing a little circle on my neck.

"Alright, go on." He said, smirking.

I opened the door and walked downstairs, leaving my book on his bed. I adjusted my neat collar and undid a button to make it look more convincing.

I eventually made my way to Klaus, sitting down beside him. I crossed my legs and put on a fake smile, looking at him as he sipped at his alcohol.

"Lucky you." He muttered as Luther and Diego walked into the living room.

They both sat down awkwardly, waiting for the others to join them.

"So.." Luther muttered, tugging at his gloves uncomfortably.

"Just waiting for Allison, Five and Vanya now." Diego mumbled from across the room, as he sat twirling around a knife cautiously.

The others walked down the stairs sadly, taking their seats in the living room. Ben came and sat on the arm of the sofa, sighing.

"Klaus, maybe you should tell them what she'd like for her funeral. It's smart, and I'm sure she knows already." Ben suggested, looking at me.

"Somewhere near Ben's statue," I muttered. "with flowers, and that's all I need. Do whatever else you want."

"She wants to be buried by Ben's statue, with flowers. She said whatever else you want to do, go ahead." Klaus looked up at everyone.

"Okay, then. We should start, it's getting late. She liked the sun setting, right?" Allison asked, a him of response coming from Klaus as a way to say 'yes'.

Luther walked outside, oblivious to the sounds of my footsteps following him.
