Chapter Three - Lost without you

I tugged on the rope, planning out when and what I'd do for the following days.
The apocolypse was in seven days, I would do it before then.
I started questioning whether it was smart, but I quickly brushed that off since I knew it'd be smart.
I mean, being reunited with your dead brother was a dream!

I wondered whether this was a good idea or place, to do it. Maybe the living room, in front of everyone. Or the kitchen?
And maybe a different way?
I can figure it out later, for now I want to focus on today.

I trudged down to the kitchen in my slippers, looking around as I rubbed my eyes.
The table was decorated with fancy plates, and Grace was cooking.
"Morning mum." I smiled.
"Good morning, Y/N. I'm making breakfast for you and your siblings. They promised to eat together." She smiled back.

"Yup, we're all going to be eating with you." Klaus laughed, hugging me from behind. I turned in his arms and hugged him back.
He whispered, "Ben loves you, you know.".
My Stomach turned.

P.O.V of Ben

I looked at the way Y/N stood with Klaus. I can't believe he actually told her, but it's better for her to know.

Tears streamed down her face. I walked over to her, sorrow filling my face.
I reached to rub her cheek, but my hand went through her.
I looked down in sadness, knowing I'll never be able to hold her again.

I frowned at Klaus, leaving before I cried.
I went to her bedroom, seeing the skipping rope and the bloodied knife. I hated her for hating herself.

Her quilt was on the floor, she had a stool in the corner and her window was wide open. She kept it just like the old times, when we were reading together, or just simply talking.

Gosh, I miss her so much.

I thought of her as I looked out of the window.
My stomach felt off as I leaned forward.
I never liked heights, so looking through that three story high window was something I wasn't keen on.

I remember how she used to laugh whenever I was scared althen hug me to show she cared.

The good times..

P.O.V of Y/N

I looked at the bright light from outside, wondering when it could all end.
I found it hard to believe that in a weeks time this world would be gone.
It was surreal.

I looked at my fingers, waiting for someone to shout for me.
I shoved the now clean knife into my back pocket and walked downstairs.
I couldn't bother with the wait.

There I saw everyone sat eating. Again, without me.
"Oh hi Y/N." Klaus yelled between mouthfuls.
Surprisingly, I was the head of the table today.
This had to have something to do with yesterday.
I say down, looking up at everyone. They all looked at me, except Klaus - he was eating his eggs.
"Y/N. Why us there a rope hanging from the ceiling in your room?" Vanya asked.
"I- well.."
"And a knife in your back pocket?" Klaus said, pointing.
"It's.. I have a knife to cut it down, I don't know why the hell there's a rope there.." I lied.
To be honest, I want sure who believed me, but I still finished eating. As soon as I did, I got up and exited the dining room and straight to my room.

I loosened the rope and put it in a bag. Making sure I knew where everyone was, I walked outside and into our small garden.
I threw it up onto a tree branch, tightening it and grabbing one of the chairs.
I stood on the metal chair carefully, reaching up for the rope. I wrapped it around my throat and sighed.

"Y/N, what are you doing?" Vanya burst through the door.
"I give in." I said bluntly. "I can't do it any longer."
"Five, Klaus!" She shouted. "Y/N, we can help you."
Five and Klaus ran to the door, wondering what was happening.
They looked in shock as I kicked the chair from my feet, crying.
"Y/N!" Klaus cried, running up to me.
He undid the knot, pulling me down and laying me on the floor.

I blacked out from there.

I looked around, at all my siblings and mother. Pogo was there too. They all sat at the back of the room, except Five and Klaus.

They seemed tense, I just wanted to reach out to them.
Tears poured from my face.

"Klaus.." I mumbled.
"Shh, it's okay.."He responded.
"Y/N, you're awake." Five smiled, and leaned up to hug me.

The doctor walked into our mess of a  family, the results on a clipboard in his hand.
"She is safe to go, we just have to run one last test. She'll answer some questions and then we can discharge her." He smiled.

Five got up to talk to the doctor, who was concerned at his size compared to his family's height.
The doctor nodded, handing him a sheet of paper.

My brother came and sta back down.
" We have questions, luckily a family member can ask them.. So whenever you're ready, I'll begin."

"I'll answer them now.." I said.
