The mask

Do you, have many personalities?

Like the personality you have on normally, that's the thing called your mask. You cover yourself with it, as to protect what you have hidden behind.

Mine might be a little... different than yours? I can change the way my mask looks every time I talk to someone. I can show them how happy I am, how perfect I am, how understanding I am. Anything really... I'm sure you get the point.

I show them what they need so they can trust me. I have the ability to adapt myself to them, and show them that I'm here at all times. I need people to feel safe around me. I try to make that my thing. No, I don't try... I often do.

Do you trust me? That's the goal here-at the end of the book. For you to trust me the way I trust you. (I trust many people. Thats not the best thing, but I do it.) if you don't trust me yet... keep reading.

The masks.. I have a very large amount of them. They pile up, and change all the time. I want you to see the real me, so I can see the real you.

But I don't know how to be the real me...

She has some really bad problems though. I could list them for you, but I could never tell you how she works. I don't even want to be her anymore. After making so many masks... I've made the perfect person that people love, and care about. She wants to be your friend. She never wants to make you feel bad about anything. She is covered in masks, and has trouble showing herself.

Thats what I wanted. But right now I don't have my normal masks on. I'm talking as someone else. This person is a new mask of mine that I want you to see as a friend. You should see the person talking to you as someone that just wants to help, but I can only help you with everything, you go through... by telling you how "my" reality works. So when we get through every thought in my brain you should get it. (So the end of my book? Yeah that's the end of my thought process.)

Maybe I'll get it too... in the end.

If you need me to change for you I'll do it. Yes, that means I can make a mask for you. I will let you vent to me, talk to me, tell me everything you want, and that will start a beginning of a friendship. It will be as real as you make it. I will help you with anything, and everything. I could help you with your mental state, or I could help you with the actual problem at hand. Yes, I'm fully dedicated to saving other peoples minds.

Then you can pick at ever part of me, until you find out who I am.

You can leave me too. I won't mind it. You shouldn't feel bad for going. Even if it came down to the point we have known each other for years, and have helped each other. If you didn't trust me then you could go. Thats fine.

But if you're still here... because you want to know what I think about, then thats perfectly okay too. Now don't question me, and my actions!(I won't answer) They change too fast for me to know the answers.

If you don't have any masks(you do)... you haven't realized life have you.(I'm sure you have) You are open to, too much at a time, and are the "happy person".(are you happy, or do you just think you are?) So do you have a mask?

How do you see yourself? What do you think of yourself? You can tell me. I want to know. As I said, I'm here for you. What is your mask?

If you know me... and I mean really know me. Then, I would actually get why you worried...

You might not though. I might just be a certain way with YOU, that only YOU know.

But I love you, so it's fine right. That you don't know me. Yeah-not many do.
