Being stabbed

Walking outside, you're expecting to just peacefully get to spend your time out in the sun. When you turn around to face your door, someone grabs your hair pulling it back. You have no idea who this person is standing behind you, but before you could scream. Your mouth is covered with a gag, and you feel something sharp at your back. The person tells you not to make a sound or you would die. Easy enough directions to listen to. You, not wanting to get killed did just that. They started walking you down your porch, and you're letting it happen so far, but then you see your neighbor coming out of there home. Out of impulse you go to yell out at them to help you. Then you hear the sharp objet quickly get injected in your back, and you start to choke on the gag in your mouth and scream at the pain. The person dropped you to the ground, then shot the other people around the area. He left before anyone could have saved you. Your vision was very blurred from your tears and you could taste the blood, slowly spilling from your mouth. Laying your head down to the floor you could hear the cars pass and the wind in your ears. You lift your arm, whimpering a bit, then go to feel your back. Before you could, your eyes roll back in your head, and everything goes black.

So you've been stabbed. So you're dead? What happens now?

After it all, would you go to an after life? Would you even be worthy of such a luxury. If I'm being honest, the "after life" so many people believe in make me want to gag. Anywhere would still be a hell. I don't mean that to offend anyone, but I do not think of a 'new world after death' or some kind of 'reincarnation'. I've joked about it, being reincarnated, or going to 'hell' or choosing a 'new life' but in all reality... it could all be some kind of coping meconium for the weak. For the people that need to have something to think about after their light leaves this world. Sometimes people need that hope? Yeah... I would rather have nothing.

I see it as a lamp. Unplugged, black. Nothing-
