"Riley, if I do say so myself, you were much different when we first 'met'" His voice ventures, and I stutter to reply.
"I've never met you before in my life!" I counter.
"Yes we have. I would like to give an explanation. I am Dan Snyder. My goal all along was to capture, and even torture you to death. For now, I believe you've done enough damage to yourself," He gestures at my legs.
"I'll open the cage door up," He says. He goes back behind me and pulls a chain and the cage hits the ground. I wince in pain. He takes a key and unlocks the door of my cage and opens it. He then turns, and slowly places a plate of food on the counter, and then turns, and leaves.
I muster up all my strength. I may not be able to walk or crawl, but I can drag myself. I drag myself out of the cage. I continue using my arms to pull myself across the floor. I reach the plate and the water bottle. It's only a piece of bread. I smell it and then eat it punch by pinch. I suck the water down. Then, the lights click out once more.
