It was Monday morning, after the Summer Holidays. It was the first day back at school. I walk in a put my bag away. I walk to a room where all of my friends are. I walk in and sit down to see someone that I hadn't seen in a very long time. My heart starts beating rapidly. I used to like this boy. He meant everything to me, but then I was over him. The holidays gave us space. Which we both needed.
"Hey." He says as he walks over to me and sits down infront of me.
"Hello." I reply.
"Haven't seen you in ages!" He replies with a huge smile on his face.
"Yeah, that's true." I say. Smiling, trying so hard not to blush.
"So, got a boyfriend?" He says as he winks.
"No, I do not. Haven't found the right guy yet." I say as I look at him and raise my eye brows.
"Ah, fair enough. I haven't found the right girl either. But one day we will both find the person of our dreams. " He says smiling and patting me on the shoulder.
"What have you been up too?" I say quickly, trying to change the subject.
"Nothing much, just missing school and my friends." He says as we both laugh. "Charlie, you haven't changed one bit, have you?" He says with a smirk on his face.
"Well, Christian, you haven't changed much yourself." I say as I reach for my pencil case.
"Ha, you've got a point there Charlie." He says as he stands up and pushes his chair in.
"I better be off now, We should catch up at recess. Bye Charlie. It was good to talk to you. " Christian says as he walks out the door.
"Bye." I yell with a big smile on my face.
'I don't like him, I don't like him.' I kept saying to myself. I CAN'T like him. I can't let the same thing happen twice, I don't want to lose yet another friendship because I have liked them. I missed him, I missed him alot. And I knew I was over him, but I guess I was wrong.
