For some reason, his heart was beating fast as he entered the kitchen.
Tae wasn’t lying... he did needed a drink.
And to grab a second one.
Despite not being confrontational, the alcohol that was going through Tae gave him the confidence to actually take the drink and leave the kitchen to get back out to the main room.
Tae walked up to Tee, red solo cup in both hands as he approached him.
Tee didn't notice Tae because of that stupid game on his phone but when Tae said “Hello,” it captured his attention.
“Oh, hi,” Tee surprisingly said, smiling softly at Tae. He had to speak up over the music.
“I got you a drink,” Tae awkwardly said, motioning to the cup in his hand. Tee kind of hesitated on grabbing it but accepts the kind gesture.
Tae took the chance to note of how nice his arms looked.
“Oh, uhm, Thank you. Hey, can I ask you a question?” Tee asked as Tae smiled smugly.
“You just did,”
Rolling his eyes, Tee shook his head “You know what I mean,” the way Tee talked so freely with Tae definitely made things easier for him.
“Okay, okay. What is it?” Tae asked Tee looking at him.
“Aren’t you the one who left quickly because you had to be my partner if you didn’t?” Tee asked, catching Tae off guard.
Tae's eyes widened as he fumbled over his words. “Oh, uhm, no,” he said, causing Tee to chuckle and shook his head, looking down at the red solo cup in his hand as he swirled the liquid around in it before looking back to Tae.
“It’s okay, I get it,” Tee shrugged and Tae recomposed himself. “I had a family emergency that day. Very sudden,” he said as Tee nodded, raising his eyebrows.
“Ah, right. What was the emergency if you don’t mind me asking?” Tee asked and Tae was surprised at the confidence Tee held. This isn’t what Tae expected from Tee.
“My, uhm,” Once again, Tae found himself stumbling over his words and Tee laughed at it.
“How about we find a different room? It’s a bit loud out here and I don’t think I’m hearing you correctly,” Tae played off as he couldn't make up a lie
Tae was now very, very, interested in Tee.
“Oh, really? Well maybe you’ll be able to hear me even better in an empty room,” Tee said and Tae's heart raced at those words.
Tee seemed too innocent for this and he figured it was just literal context.
Tae only nodded, gesturing Tee to follow him down the big hallway.
Tee set his drink on a table, abandoning it. Tae gave him a look and Tee shrugged, “I don’t drink,”
