"Hi. The name's Downey, I'm new here and I'm not exactly sure how to get around here. Can you help me find a class I need to get to?" He asks with a smile plastered on his face.

"Oh right. Yeah sure, which class?" I ask politely.

"Class 268 ma'am."

"Oh right this way, also no need for 'ma'am', I'm Y/l. Y/n y/l."

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss. Y/l," he reaches a hand for me to shake. I take his hand and smile. I let go quickly and told him to follow me. He stays by my side while I lead him to the class. I don't know this guy but he seems nice, I guess. The walk is pretty silent, but I break it by asking if he is a teacher or a student.

"Oh, I'm a professor!"

"You're teaching Math and English?

"That's correct. Why do I look like a student?"

"No, no-no. I mean you never know, some people can be 40 and be a student in college."

"I see," he nods. I cough, trying to cover up the fact I'm quite embarrassed.

"Anyway here we are," I stop in front of the door, signaling this is the class.

"Thank you," he takes out his classroom keys, opens the door, and enters. "You can come in if you like."

"I actually have to get going, unfortunately."

"Where to?" He leans on the wall. Shit.

"Uh, to the cafe," I blurted.

"Oh okay, well can you give me a second while I place my files down and come with you?" I don't mind. But I do mind the fact that you make me flustered.

"Yeah sure, I'll wait for you."

"Great," he turns back around, walking to his desk, placing his files down quickly. I stand outside, rocking back and forth. I turn around, looking around the area, bored. Couldn't they make this college a bit more interesting? Damn. Can't believe I'm actually paying to learn. "I'm ready!" He locks the door to the class.

"Let's go!" I turn around, smiling. He walks in front of me leaving me to follow him. I walk up right beside him. We walk out of the building, "so am I going to follow you by car or?" He doesn't say anything and walks up to his car. He turns on his car, entering the vehicle. Rude. I walk up to the car, the passenger window rolling down to reveal Downey.

"Get in."

"What? No way I'm entering the car, I just met you," he looks at me with a 'seriously' face.

"I don't bite Miss. Y/l."

"You look like you do," I mumble.

"What was that?"

"Nothing!"

"Sure," he smirks. "Get in the fucking car."

"Demanding much. Alright fine," I whisper the first part, opening the door, and stepping in. I sit down, closing the door, turning to him.

"Seatbelt."

"Right," I grab my seatbelt, buckling myself in. I look up at the road and glance at him. He takes off, literally making me widen my eyes. The speed he's going at, could get me killed. I don't care about him, I don't want to die. I mean I don't want to live either but still. "Okay, you need to slow down."

"Nope. Much more fun this way. Plus we get there faster," he grips the steering wheel hard and turns it left.

"If you're a professor, shouldn't you know safety comes first."

"Calm down, I'm not going to kill you," yeah I don't know about that.

The ride stays quiet on the way there. We arrive at the cafe, he parks near. We both get out of the car, I dust off my clothes, straightening out. I look up and he's walking to the door, leaving me behind. Again. "You really need to stop leaving me behind," I catch up to him.

"How about, you stop being slow, then you'll catch up."

"I prefer the other way," I scoff. He grins, reaching for the door handle, opening it for us to enter. I walk in first, straight away going to the cashier.

"Hello, what can I get you today?" The cashier smiles.

"I'll have a Venti Caramel Frappe please," I took out my wallet from my purse.

"And I'll have a small plain coffee," Downey says from behind, handing a 20 dollar bill to the lady, "don't worry, I got it covered Darling," he tells me.

"Wha-"

"Just go grab a seat, okay?" He puts a hand on my back, pushing me over the tables. Okay, I have no idea what just happened. But apparently, I'm just going to deal with it. I come across a table and sit down. After a minute or so he comes with our drinks, placing mine down in front of me. "Enjoy!"

"Uh, thanks!"

"No problem," he blows on his coffee, waiting for it to cool.

"You really didn't need to pay for me."

"Well," he takes a sip of his coffee, and puts it back down, "I wanted to."

I smile nodding my head.

"Drink."

I look up at him, with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't worry, I didn't poison it," he chuckles lightly.

"No, I know that," I smile, "I was just thinking."

He hums in response, "about?"

"Just you know about everything."

"Right," we stop talking for a moment. I take a sip from my iced coffee, and place it back down, "also," he speaks. "I'm not actually a new teacher."

"What?" I look at him confused.

"It's not my first time at the school. I know how to get around. I just wanted to talk to you because I was alone," he smiles a little.

"Oh," well then, "so you talked to me because you were alone?"

"Yup, and I was bored."

I smile, nodding my head. We spent most of our time there talking about as much stuff that came to mind. He looked at his phone, and his eyes widened.

"What?" I question.

"It's 6 pm," he looks up at me. It's been that long?

"Damn, I think we need to get going," I stood up, from my seat, dusting myself off.

"Yeah, you're right," he stands up, taking his coffee with him. "Let's go," he walks towards the door, me following him right behind. He opens the passenger door for me, gesturing me to enter. I enter the car, sitting down, he closes the door, running to his side, entering as well. Downey and I buckle our seatbelts in, and he drives me to my dorm. I'll just go shopping tomorrow.

"We're here," he says, arriving in front of the building.

"Thank you for today," I looked over at him.

"It's been a pleasure, Miss. Y/l. I'll see you in class tomorrow."

"See you," I open the door, exiting the vehicle. I close the door, while the window rolls down. I walk away waving goodbye, and he waves back, once I entered the building, he drove off. I go back to my dorm, settling back down. I change into my PJs, laying on my bed, falling asleep.

I wake up to my alarm going off. I turn over and turn it off, why can't I just get some sleep for once. I get up to the bathroom, washing myself up. I wear some clothes and grab my bag, heading out to the class. I enter the class, finding an empty seat, I walk over and sit down. Half of the class is already here, which is great. He enters the class, with his case, walking over to his desk. Looking up at me and meets eyes, smirking.
