Warnings: cursing, teasing.

A/n: I won't be making Jeremy a love interest. Also not a long chapter I'm sorry. And rest in peace Robert Downey sr. Not much to be said, but thank you!

Y/n Pov:

"What's this?" Downey asked me.

"What's what? It's a piece of paper," I shrugged.

"I meant the answer to the question that is on the piece of paper y/n," he rubbed his temple.

Clearly he wasn't having any of it. We were sitting on the couch for about 2 hours now, and right now, my brain is off. Dead. He's been asking me the same question again. Questions Robert has been giving me for his final. And honestly how do you expect me to remember all this stuff for a test. It's just going to go through my brain the day I take the test.

"What's the answer y/n?" He asked me again.

"Robert," I sighed, "I don't fucking know, you're literally frying my brain with this."

He gave me a 'seriously' face, "It's not that hard, come on."

"Maybe it's not hard for you, but it's hard for me," I laid my back down on the couch.

"Fine. But we aren't done with this yet, you clearly need more practice," he closes the math book and puts my notes on top of it.

"Robert the test is in 2...2 weeks right?"

"Yeah or 3 I don't remember."

"Yeah see? We have plenty of time."

"No. I. I have plenty of time, not 'we'," he emphasizes 'I' and 'we'.

I gave him a 'you gotta be kidding' look.

"Am I wrong?"

"Eh," I close my eyes, putting my arm on my head.

"Yeah, I'm never wrong."

"You sure about that?"

"Maybe in some things, but not everything."

I stay quiet, but nod my head at him, smiling. My smile drops after a moment, I look down at the ground, "Robert."

"Yes, my dear?"

"Were you ever good enough for your parents?" I look at him.

"Well. I'm actually not so sure," he shakes his head a little.

"Right," silence filled the room again.

"Were you?"

"I'm not too sure either...but sometimes I wish that I am, even though I'm not sure. Sometimes I wish that I actually am good enough that my dad didn't have to go."

He smiled, "I don't think that was the reason."

"Yes. Maybe because he was a responsible father," I chuckled, sarcastically.

"Well if he never knew me. Then I would have never known you," he looked at me softly.

"Never say never. Plus weren't you already a teacher here?"

"Yeah, I was."

"Then, we would have met anyway. I mean unless my dad said you had to be a teacher here," I shrugged. He squinted his eyes at me, laughing. "Sometimes I wonder if you are actually real," I smile.

"Because I'm perfect?"

"Possibly."

"Maybe just in your eyes."
