5 years later...

You were traveling down the escalator while trying to scan the whole lobby to find your folks. Your flight from San Francisco ended a couple of hours ago and you reached Japan, Tokyo.

You were back home.

Eventually, you eyes caught the old geezer and your maid waving at you. A smile immediately formed on your lips. You embraced both of them with a big hug.

"Kruger-san, Ida-san! It's so nice to see you again."

They returned the embrace. "It's a pleasure to serve you once more, Lady (y/n)."

——

"Your stay at San Francisco, how was it?" Ida-san inquired as she sat next to you in the van.

"I'd say it was quite an experience. I had the opportunity to explore new cities and make a variety of friends." You answered with another soft grin.

"I'm glad to hear that."

"Apart from the social aspect of it, how is your education?" Kruger-san added, curious to know more about your departure.

"Don't worry, I managed much more smoothly over there. I came in first place throughout all my years attending and even won some awards."

They both heaved out breaths of relief, happy that your trip didn't go to waste.

"Your mother and father will be thrilled for all of your accomplishments. Also, your siblings will be attending the banquet."

You were a bit astonished about this. The last time you've seen your siblings was during your primary school graduation. Ever since then, you kinda forgot you had them since they were a many years older than you.

"I see."

——

"Welcome home, (Y/n)."

Right when you entered your home, you were greeted by your family members. They each had warm smiles on their faces.

It's been a while since I seen them smile like this.

Everyone was guided to the dining table that was flourished with all kinds of food. The maids, on the other hand, were busy unpacking your carriers and boxes.

"So tell me (Y/n)-chan, was living in the states for four years worth it?" Your sister nudged at your side. She was the eldest out if your siblings and the most outgoing. Because of her energetic self, her determination to pursue her dream career happened.

"I enjoyed it." You answered. "Of course, there were stressful days, but they were only temporary."

"Eh, what a lucky girl to live in San Francisco." Your brother added. "Y'know, the living expenses there are unbelievable. Without our family income, you wouldn't even stand a month."
