『••🍙••』
"Pages thirteen to twenty will be due tomorrow morning so make sure you spend some time to work on it."
Your classmates whined at your teacher's announcement. "Yes..."
First period of trigonometry ended and it was time for break. Students immediately got out of their seats and started chatting to their neighbors while leaving the room.
You were taking your time to pack your notebooks since you were in no rush to see or talk to anyone.
"Hey, Nakamura-san!"
You felt a hand tap your shoulder causing you to jolt a bit. Turning around, you came face to face with the girl who was seated behind you.
"The name's Suzumeda Kaori, but you can call me Kaori. Say, is it okay if I refer to you as (y/n)?" She asked with a smile that showed her tiny freckles.
"Yeah, I'm fine with that." You nodded.
"Ah sweet! Since it's the break, want me to give you a free school tour? The school is pretty big and getting lost is normal, believe me, I lost my way at least five times as a first-year."
She was surprisingly bubbly and energetic.
"You'd really do that for me?"
"Of course! There's no harm in helping a new friend out, right?"
"Yeah, I guess so." You sheepishly rubbed your neck. "Okay then, show me around, Kaori."
With that decided, you left the classroom with a new friend beside you.

"Now then, let me first show you around our classes..."
The way Kaori showed you around was pretty chill and fun. She would throw in a few stories about some of the classes she had which would occasionally make you laugh.
Familiarizing with the classes you had on your schedule was the important part, and thankfully, you and Kaori had the same classes together.
"Any interests in anything? Like maybe music, theater, or sports?" She asked as you made way down the staircase.
"Um, I'm quite fond of literature and a bit of track and field."
The girl clapped her hands. "Ah, that's perfect! We actually have a track team and a few clubs regarding literature. It's required for all students to join at least one club, that's why."
"I see... That's a pretty neat way to get the students involved with the school."
"It really is, that's what makes Fukurodani such a good school too!" She giggled.
You wanted to know a bit more about the girl. She seemed really talkative and you wonder if that influenced by an extracurricular activity she was in.
