『••🍙••』"Good morning, Ida-san."
You skipped down to the kitchen and beamed a bright smile in front of your nanny. In return for noticing your presence, she lifted a confused grin.
"Ah, Lady (y/n). You seem to be in a good mood."
"I sure am, I have a literature test today and I studied almost every day for it. I'm feeling quite confident in myself." You replied as you followed her down to the dining table.
Yup, it was that time. The first test of the school year was in literature and you studied the whole month, making sure you memorized all the contents by heart. This is going to determine where you stand in Fukurodani and how that certain someone will not interfere with your success again.
She then gently patted your head. "Well, that's wonderful to hear. I know you'll do great."
Leaving you alone at the table, you sat down and started your breakfast.
Your relationship with Ida has always been strong and close. She always took care of you for as long as you can remember and it made you glad that she supported your decisions too. If anything, she acted as the real mother in your life.
——
Once you reached the school grounds, you had this devilish smirk pinned on your face that made everyone around judge you. Your confidence and malicious intentions were leaking out of your system and everyone but you realized that.
As soon as you made it to the hall of your classroom, you saw the raven-haired boy go inside and the adrenaline inside of you accelerated.
"Akaashi-kun!" You ran inside of the classroom, slammed your hands against his desk, and glared.
The whole room got a bit quiet and Akaashi, still keeping his composed self, blinked at you. "Yes?"
"On a scale of one to ten, how confident do you feel about our exams this morning?"
"Um, a five?"
Your mouth almost dropped. A part of you was expecting him to say a ten, but yet again, this kid humbles himself too much. It made you a bit irritated that he thinks that about himself when he literally proves otherwise.
"Hmm, typical of you..." You mumbled before turning your heel. "Well then, I wish you luck!"
"You too?"
The whole conversation was still leaving the boy perplexed but he brushed the thought away.
"Class, take your seats. It's testing time." The voice of your teacher coming into the room made all the students groan.
"Ughh..."
As the sound of the pitter-patter of students going to their designated desks was filling the room, you fixed your posture and took a deep breath.
"This is it. My breaking point. The day I will wipe that smug face off of him."
And thus, the test began.
——
The period ended and all the students in your class turned in their exam papers. The weight lifting off their shoulders were evident to you, but you still had to cling onto a bit more stress and pressure.
After all, the results are what mattered to you. Nothing else.
The following week will be when you'll learn your scores and until then, the dominance against Akaashi is still undecided.
