『••🍙••』
A day had passed and you were somewhat used to Fukurodani's curricular system and campus.
At the moment, it was break and you were seated at your desk while Kaori sat crisscrossed on top of the table in front of you.
"(Y/n), you're already studying for the literature exam? Isn't that happening at the end of the month?" Kaori questioned as she stuffed an onigiri in her mouth while peering over your arm that was covering your notes.
"Yes, but I want to get a head start on the content. I have to get the highest score..." You stated while keeping your eyes stuck on your paper.
"Wow, I envy your determination..." Kaori muttered.
The literature exam was the first exam you were going to have this school year. If you wanted to stand out in the school, you'd have to start studying know and aim for that perfect score 'cause no way in hell you're going to repeat that "2nd place" status you endured back in Junior High.
"Ri-Ri! I stockpiled all the chocolate filled pastries!" A cute voice from behind approached you from behind, causing you to look back.
"Nice, Mai!" Kaori said, pulling a thumbs up at her.
You blinked a couple times as you eyed the unfamiliar person. Her skin was fair and she was a bit shorter than you. What stood out for her the most was the curly chestnut hair that reached just below her waist.
"Oh, by the way (Y/n), this is Kojima Mai. She's in class 2-D, but we were in the same class last year." Kaori introduced.
"Heyo!" Mai waved with a widened smile. She was cute and bubbly, something you really weren't.
You made a slight nod and grin. "Nice to meet you, Kojima-san."
The bubbly girl frantically shook her head. "Ah, no worries with the formality! Just call me Mai."
"Oh okay, you can also call me (Y/n) if you want to."
Responding with a nod, she bestowed you a pastry from the plastic bag she carried.
"Here, want a taro bread? I saved up all my money just to buy all the good flavors."
Politely taking it, you thanked her, and took a bite.
"Mmm, these are good!""Right! Take some more!" She enthusiastically filled your desk with piles of pastries. The sight made you sheepishly chuckle.
"By the way (Y/n), did you figure out what club you wanna join yet?" Kaori asked to which made you gasp.
"Shoot, I totally forgot about that!"
Yesterday, your mind was filled with thoughts of beating Akaashi that you forgot about what club to join.
