I stomped into my apartment as I slammed the door behind me. I huffed as I sat at my dining table.

"God, if I thought my life couldn't get any worse." I sighed as I ran my hands through my short hair. I heard the phone ring. I got up and walked to the the phone.

"Hello?" I said as I picked up the phone.

"Lily. It's Johnny-." I cut him off by exhaling, nearly putting the phone down. "Lily! Wait!" I held back. I put the phone back to my ear.

"What do you want? Depp?" I asked, annoyed.

"I know shit isn't going your way." He said.

"Oh, yeah! What gave you that idea?" I exhaled heavily.

"Huh. Just listen to me. I'm at your apartment building now." He sighed as I slammed the phone down at that minute.

I was just thinking. "Why is he doing that for? He was the one that fired me! He could be here at any moment! Ok, calm down." Once I finished that thought, a heavy knock on my door. I jumped as I walked to the door. When I opened the door, I saw a awkward-looking Johnny, holding a bouquet of flowers.

"What do you think your doing?" I asked him as he looked from his shoes to my face.

"I brought you flowers." He smiled awkwardly as I took them from him.

"Is that how you think women can be cheered up? By some crappy flowers?" I said as I put the flowers on the side.

"Well, I don't know is it?" He chuckled jokingly as I stayed silent with a serious face. I moved backwards and moved my left hand to shut the door in his face.

"Stop. Look, I'm sorry. What about I give you your job back?" He asked as he put his hand in front of the door. I stopped as I looked at him.

"Fine. But I get twenty minutes longer for my lunch hour." I said.

"Well, uh, I'm sure that can be arranged." He said.

"And...I get to ring my friends on my office phone. Whenever I like." I said as I smirked.

"Um, uh..." He stuttered as I without thinking about it shut the door in his face.

"Fine. Fine. You get to ring whoever you want." He said as he pushed open my door, causing the bolt chain to catch the door from opening. I smiled happily as I opened the door.

"Nice doing business with you!" I smiled as he left.

I shut the door. "Well, not so bad after all." I smiled as I skipped to the couch and turned on the tv.
