Drift off

I wake up to the sound of beeping
It beeps and beeps at me, constantly nagging me
I finally open my eyes, only being half awake
But I can't get my body to move
Why can't I move?
I stare blankly at the ceiling
Knowing that I'm in a dream
I decide to close my eyes again
And I drift off to sleep

I wake up to the sound of beeping
But it isn't as annoying as it used to be
I find that I still cannot move
Why can't I move?
I stare blankly at the wall and notice all the nooks and crannies
Hoping that this is all a dream
I give up and close my eyes again
And I drift off to sleep

I wake up to the sound of beeping
But I don't mind it anymore
I haven't moved in a while
Why can't I move?
I stare at the wall I'm ever so used to
Assuming I'm in a dream
My eyes close again
And I drift off to sleep

I wake up to the sound of..I don't know
I don't recognize this sound
I'm stuck to this bed
Why can't I move?
I stare off into space
My eyes close
And I drift off to sleep

I wake to the sound of nothing
This room has no noise
I'm still laying down
Why can't I move?
I stare off
My eyes shut
And I drift off

I wake
I don't remember who I am
I don't remember where I am
Why can't I move?
I stare
