Chapter 11: Special Chapter | Saucy Suspicions
RHIVER
TIME FLIES so fast. Months hop so wide. And the cold shuddering wind rendered, brought by the Christmas spirit of the month of December were absolutely felt. Christmas Lights and Decors. Santa Clauses. Parols. House to house carolings. Christmas parties. Exchanged gifts. Everywhere and anywhere can be seen.
Believe me, I may not be a biggest fan to this kind of festivity that almost everyone adored it every year, but it’s natural for me to also like the way it is. It’s not that I hate Christmas. Partly, the answer could be that… in my entire whole ‘boring’ life, I didn’t experience at such times like that occasions and gatherings. Oh please don’t pity me… because I don’t need that. Well actually, I couldn’t blame the cracks of my family structures.
Oh my, forget about that…
Anyways, it’s been a light week after the start of our sembreak and end of my terrible Christmas Party. Thankfully, natapos din ang hell week naming mga estudyante regarding the midterm’s examination test and passing of projects. On my side, it’s been a stressful and heavy work to me at that certain time. As you know, I am the President of Student Council. You may wonder why I harness this one of the kind position, especially that I’m not very inclined to be a sociable person. Well it’s not what you think about, but it’s deeper than what you ever imagined. Moreover, I’ll let you ogle and fought for an answer by yourself.
Now back again…
Instead of having my sembreak at home, I chose to have my break here at a beach. Specifically at my parents beach house. Well, it looks like a summer vacation to me. Not bad, because the place is quite peaceful, crowd free and away from stress. A perfect spot would be the best understatement for me to describe. After all, wala namang dahilan para umuwi ako sa bahay. It will still be an empty house if only me and Zero in flesh, gradually expected to celebrate together the Christmas. So I prefer to decide and choose something I want since it’s still the same case. Not to mention, Zero also liked my plan so he also agreed to join my saddening solo. Huh, how futile of me to think that way. Pero iyon naman talaga ang katotohanan.
I just shoved myself and sighed calmly while walking towards the kitchen. Then I grab an apple on the counter table and take a medium bite. Next thing, I decided to limped out the beach house, unwind by the salty air and take a stroll for a while. It’s a good thing na hindi masyadong mainit kahit alas tres pa ng tanghali. Courtesy of the gloomy gray clouds by the way.
Wandering my eyes all around the sea shore, bilang lang sa kamay ko ang mga tao ngayon. Mostly were ladies, wearing something like an eyesore to my eyes. No offense, but it’s definitely not attractive to me.
“Onnah, it’s your turn to serve.”
“Okay. I got it.”
I halted my steps as I stood in front of a teenage groups, particularly my brother’s company. Oh? I almost forgot na may kasama pala kami ni Zero sa beach house. As far as I can recall, they were two boys and three girls. Nakalimutan ko na ang mga pangalan nila, because I rarely remember a bunch of names. But except to Onnah.
The reason is, they want to have a new bonding place and time before they go home to their families. So my dearest brother suggested an idea na dito sila. And so his companions also agreed, decided to stay here for three days and two nights. I’m not against their plans and idea, but the question is, are they against me having their friendly time bonding? Hopefully not, especially that they don’t know that Zero and I are brothers.
