I stopped about twenty meters from the door of my white victorian house and got out. Julian followed me into thehouse and up to my room. I grabbed my chore clothes and went into the bathroom to change.Throwing the clothes on and putting my hair in a ponytail I left the room. When I entered my bedroom again I came face toface with Julian. I looked up into his eyes and swallowed. He started to lean his head down to me and I froze. Oh my god he's not doing whatI think he's doing? Is he? No time to think about that. Get out of it some how. I leaned back and took a step towards the door.
"We have work to do." I state quickly and pull him out of my room and down stairs. When we get into thebarnJulian stopscausing me to stop and look at him. "What?" I ask.
"What are we doing in here?" He asks me quietly. I just pull him to save time.
"We are going to muck my horses' stall and then go riding." I pulled Julian to Brownies stall and left him there to go get and extra pitchfork from the loft. While I was up there I decieded to throw a bale down in the interest of time. I lifted the bale and threw it down from the top of the loft. I climbed down after the bale and carried it down the hall and to Brownies stall, where Julian was standing. I grabbed a lead rope and hooked Brownie to it and gave it to Julian.
After I finished mucking out the stall with out his help I saddled up Brownie and took her out side. Like yesterday and every day before that I opened the gate leading to the pasture. I looked back at Julian for a moment before getting on my horse and trotting around the pasture. The lush green grass was torn up as my horses hooves made contact with the soft earth. Ten minutes of running later I pulled my horse up to the gate where Julian was standing.
Brownie stopped right infront of him and lowered her head. I slid off Brownie and gave Julain the reins and motioned my head to the horse.
He shook his head sadly and looked past me into the field as he said, "I can't ride." I was astonished that he couldn't ride. Then again, I wasn't that surprised because he lived in the city. I shrugged and helped him into my saddle. He looked scared up there so I grabbed the reins and walked Brownie into the field. Julian was strangely quiet the whole ride.
We rode for half an hour and I did my chores. I grabbed Julians' hand and draged him up the stairs to my room. He waited on my bed while I threw on a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. It was getting late so we decided to just go to the movies and wait for the rest of the group. Julian and I arrived at the theatre about half an hour before the film was set to start and Marissa texted me telling me they all couldn't make it. I was stuck with Julian for two hours. He wanted to see the new action film so I just let him get the tickets while I got the popcorn.
I glanced back at Julian in the line and a smile made its way across my face when I saw he was making his way over to me. I chuckled when I saw a sly smirk make its way onto his face. The consession guy was waving at me and asking me what I wanted. I turned to him and said, "I'll have your large popcorn and two large root beers'."
